What is Proof of Strength?
Stages with Specific Mutations

Similar to the Tower of Conquest (ToC) in Crossing Worlds, the Proof of Strength (PoS) is a collection of stages that have Stage Mutations
which modify the parameters of the enemies and characters present in the stage. Note that the mutations in PoS are 'fixed' allowing the player as much time as is needed to prepare for their next Stage.
How to Unlock Proof of Strength

Rank 1 Stage Guides

| Rank 1 Stages 1-5 Mutations | |
|---|---|
| [Active on the enemy] Shield. At the start of the battle, games [physical shield] equal to 100% of the current HP. Cannot be dispelled or immunized. Not stackable. [Active on the enemy] Increases Collision DMG by 200%; ✦ When single-target attacks deal DMG, if adjacent to the target, knocks them back by 3 tiles; ✦ When attacking targets with [knockback immunity], increases DMG by 50%. ✦ This effect cannot be dispelled or immunized. | |

Stages 1-5 has a mutation that grants enemies Physical Shields. As such, we recommend a party built around dealing Magical DMG. Newer characters will want to include some supports like Angel for added survivability. Characters who can inflict Piercing DMG like Kvare, or characters who convert P.ATK into M.DMG (Dantalion, Tristan) are also recommended.
| Rank 1 Stages 6-10 Mutations | |

| [Active on the enemy] Shield. At the start of the battle, games [magical shield] equal to 100% of the current HP. Cannot be dispelled or immunized. Not stackable. Opposite of the previous stages, the latter half of Rank 1 has enemies that have Magical Shields. As such, you will want to include characters who specialize in dealing Physical DMG like Auguste, SP Rawiyah, and Estra.
Rank 2 Stage Guides

Rank 2 Stages 1-5 Mutations
---
[Active on the enemy] Immune to [Scorch] and [Burning] tiles. At the end of the turn, if on [burning] tiles, recovers 20% HP and increases ATK by 20%.
Recommended Characters

Characters who can one-hit KO enemies like Auguste and Estra are valuable since enemies will not get the chance to recover. Alternatively, characters like Simona and Alexei can counteract [Burning] tiles by generating [Frosty] tiles, effectively negating the stage mutations when positioned properly.
Rank 2 Stages 6-10 Mutations
---
[Active on the enemy] After being attacked, inflicts 3 random [Level 2 Debuffs] on the attacker for 2 turns.
Recommended Characters for Stages 6-10

The only real problem with these stages is the numerous debuffs inflicted by enemies. Note that Cocoa only becomes an effective dispeller when equipped with Great Company on the Journey. Other characters like Taair and Inanna can dispel even without the right equipment.
Pro Tip! | If you don't have supports who can naturally dispel debuffs, you can equip your available supports with the Elegance of the Empress Tarot, which dispels 1 debuff when casting skills on allies. |

Rank 3 Stage Guides

Rank 3 Stages 1-5 Mutations
---
[Active on the Enemy] Immune to teleportation and knockback; increases max HP by 200% and reduces [percentage DMG] taken by 65%. Cannot be dispelled or immunized. [Active on the Enemy] At the end of the turn, all enemies within 5 tiles of the character take [Percentage DMG] equal to 10% of HP and physical DMG] equal to 10% of P.ATK plus M.ATK.
Recommended Characters

Characters with high mobility like Estra, or characters that can increase movement like Taair are recommended since you want to complete the stages before the Floating Rocks
slowly defeat your party members. SP Inanna is great because of her [Act Again] and damage, while Auguste or a different Breaker can deal with the frontline Defenders.
Strategy Guide

Image above shows Rank 3 - Stage 5
Stages 1-5 have Floating Rocks
on the far end of the map which are unkillable if there are any 2 other enemies still alive. At Stages 3-5, two Omens
are added that debuff nearby allies, which makes clearing the stage increasingly difficult as the battle continues. If you can, try to dispatch the Omens before cleaning up the rest of the enemies while saving the Floating Rocks
for last.
Rank 3 Stage 6 Mutations
---
[Active on the Enemy] Immune to teleportation and knockback; increases max HP by 100% and reduces [percentage DMG] taken by 50%; when attacking non-[Watcher] enemies, increases [All types of DMG] by 50%; when attacked by non-[Watcher] enemies, reduces DMG taken by 50%. [Active on the Enemy] When attacking [Counter Role] characters, increases [All types of DMG] by 50%.
Recommended Characters

Stage 6 has mutations that favor characters from the Watcher Role. SP Safiyyah functions really well since the map is narrow, allowing you to easily setup for her assisting attacks.
Rank 3 Stage 7 Mutations
---
[Active on the Enemy] Immune to teleportation and knockback; increases max HP by 100% and reduces [percentage DMG] taken by 50%; when attacking non-[Seeker] enemies, increases [All types of DMG] by 50%; when attacked by non-[Seeker] enemies, reduces DMG taken by 50%. [Active on the Enemy] When attacking [Counter Role] characters, increases [All types of DMG] by 50%.
Recommended Characters

Stage 7 has mutations that favor characters from the Seeker Role. So be sure to run a party that is primarily built around Seekers. Also, since the mutation is aimed at characters who will be fighting, feel free to include support characters as long as they won't be fighting and will primarily be healing and buffing allies.
Rank 3 Stage 8 Mutations
---
[Active on the Enemy] Immune to teleportation and knockback; increases max HP by 100% and reduces [percentage DMG] taken by 50%; when attacking non-[Defender] enemies, increases [All types of DMG] by 50%; when attacked by non-[Defender] enemies, reduces DMG taken by 50%. [Active on the Enemy] When attacking [Counter Role] characters, increases [All types of DMG] by 50%.
Recommended Characters

Stage 8 has mutations that favor characters from the Defender Role. There are plenty of usable Defenders since it is a role that inherently specializes in dealing with multiple targets. If you don't have a Cocoa or a Flavia that is built for support, feel free to include healers in your lineup!
Rank 3 Stage 9 Mutations
---
[Active on the Enemy] Immune to teleportation and knockback; increases max HP by 100% and reduces [percentage DMG] taken by 50%; when attacking non-[Breakaer] enemies, increases [All types of DMG] by 50%; when attacked by non-[Breaker] enemies, reduces DMG taken by 50%. [Active on the Enemy] When attacking [Counter Role] characters, increases [All types of DMG] by 50%.
Recommended Characters

Stage 9 has mutations that favor characters from the Breaker Role. Pamina is especially recommended since she functions as an effective Tank and can deal significant AoE damage. Luvata is also very effective because of how narrow the stage is, while Homa and Senshi are rare Breakers who can function as supports.
Rank 3 Stage 10 Mutations
---
[Active on the Enemy] Immune to teleportation and knockback; increases max HP by 100% and reduces [percentage DMG] taken by 50%; when attacking non-[Destroyer] enemies, increases [All types of DMG] by 50%; when attacked by non-[Destroyer] enemies, reduces DMG taken by 50%. [Active on the Enemy] When attacking [Counter Role] characters, increases [All types of DMG] by 50%.
Recommended Characters

Stage 10 has mutations that favor characters from the Destroyer Role. Characters like Marcille and Caris deal effective AoE dmg. Alternatively, you could include hard-hitters like Tristan, Nungal, and Dantalion to focus on single-targets as they approach your party.

Check the Strategies

An easy
way to clear Stages is by copying the party formations and strategies of other players. By clicking on the little book icon next to each stage, you can access the battle histories of players who have previously cleared the stage. Note that newly released stages will often have no strategies available since they haven't been cleared by anyone yet.
Adjust According to Stage Mutations

Since Stage Mutations in PoS are permanent, you can take your time when preparing the characters you think you need. Take note of each of these Stage Mutations and setup your party accordingly.
Character Enhancement and Upgrade PrioritiesRaise Your Voyager Level

Enemies inside PoS stages are level locked, so having characters that out-level them can largely reduce the stage's difficulty. If you aren't already at Voyager Level 60, you should definitely try to reach max level whenever you get stuck.

First Time Clear

Each of the Stages offer 1st Time
completion rewards ranging from Elysium Coins to Hope Luxites. If you aren't interested in the Profile Backgrounds, then you should at least play the game mode for the Luxites used for Summmons.

Proof Rewards are given out to players once they clear all of the Stages within a Rank. Included in the rewards are brand new Profile Backgrounds
which alter the appearance of your profile! So be sure to try clearing the highest Ranks!
