What is Special Research?
Complete Special Research to Meet Mythic Pokemon
Special Research are missions given by Professor Willow that will give you the chance to meet and catch Mythic Pokemon! It comes with stage progression that you have to complete.
Multiple Tasks Needed to Complete Special Research
Special Researches have multiple stages with 3 tasks each. Tasks can range from simple gathering of supplies to catching a specific type of Pokemon.
Tasks Become More Difficult with Progress
As you progress through the Special Research, you may notice that the tasks become harder and harder. Don't worry! Although they're hard, they're not impossible to complete.
Completing Each Task, Stage Gives Rewards
Finishing a task will give a good amount of XP and completing all 3 tasks of a stage will give you 3 items! These rewards may include Module Lures, booster items, and evolution items.
No Deadline for Completing Special Research
Special Researches don't have a deadline so you can take your time in completing them. However, for limited-time Special Researches, you'll need to log in during the event's duration or you'll miss the chance to do them.
Special Research Unlocks at Level 5
Professor Willow will give you your first Special Research upon reaching Level 5. Other ones will be given the more you play the game.
