What Is Friendship Weekend?

The Special Friendship Weekend is a special event that focuses on bonuses for in-game friends. In-game trades cost less, gift giving & opening is encouraged, and more!

Friendship Levels Increase Faster

Get 2x As Much Friendship Points

During the event, all interactions with your in-game friends will give you double the amount of friendship points. This makes it easier and faster to raise your friendship levels with another trainer!

How To Raise Friendship Level

Normally, you can increase your friendships levels once a day. So for example, you give your friend a gift then go on a raid with them, it will only account for one of those activities.

Get 2x More Candy During Trades

Get Up To 6 Candy In 1 Trade

During the event, trading Pokemon with a friend will give you more Candy as usual. The number of Candy you can receive changes depending on how far your friend has walked the Pokemon.

Less Stardust Used In Trading

Easier To Trade Unregistered Pokemon

During Special Friendship Weekend, it'll be easier to trade unregistered Pokemon in your Pokedex as the Stardust cost will be reduced by half! Make sure to do this if you want to complete your Pokedex!

Special Trade Can Only Be Done Once A Day

You can only do special trades (trading of unregistered, legendary, or shiny Pokemon) once a day. Make sure to coordinate with your friend if you want to do a Special Trade.

The limits of opening and holding gifts will be increased on Friendship Weekend. You get 7km eggs from friend's gifts so make sure to keep opening them during the event!
