Battle Strategy Against Metagross

Best Pokemon To Use Vs. Metagross (Moltres)

Moltres is one of the most powerful Pokemon to use against Metagross. It has high damage & Metagross is vulnerable to Fire Type moves.

Bring Ground Or Dark Type Pokemon

Metagross is also weak to Ground & Dark Pokemon. For Ground Types, Groudon is the best bet while Weavile & Tyranitar with Dark attacks work best against Metagross.

Beware Of Metagross's Earthquake

Metagross can also be equipped with Earthquake. To counter this, use other Ground Type Pokemon such as Groudon or a Fire Type Charizard who is also a Flying Pokemon. This will cancel out the Ground attacks damage effectiveness.
