In order to maximize your chances of catching Pokemon, it's best to prepare a ton of Ultra Balls ahead of time for Spotlight Hour. Visit tons of Poke Stops to collect as many as you can. If you still don't have access to Ultra Balls, make sure to raise your trainer level to 20 first!
Pokemon Might Get Away If Using Go Plus
Go Plus allows you to catch Pokemon without even having the app open, but it has the unfortunate drawback of only using regular Pokeballs. This means there's a chance the Pokemon might get away. If you'd rather play things safe, get Ultra Balls and catch Pokemon the old fashioned way!
