Gifts are items you can receive and send to your friends on Pokemon Go! They contain an assortment of items that you can get by random. Its contents include pokeballs, healing and evolution items, and an exclusive egg!

Get Gifts to Send from Pokestops

The only way you can get Gifts to send to your friends is by getting them from Pokestops. You will receive 1 Gift per Pokestop in a day before it resets again.

Only 10 Gifts Stored at a Time

The amount of Gifts you can have in your inventory is limited to 10. Once you've reached 10, you won't receive any more gifts when you spin a Pokestop.

You Can't Open Your Own Gift

You cannot open the gifts you get from Pokestops. You'll have to send them to your friends for them to be opened. On another note, you can only open gifts given to you by other people.

Can Only Be Received and Sent to Friends

Gifts can only be sent and received between friends. There's no other way of obtaining Gifts that you can open other than actually receiving them.

How to Send Gifts

Step 1: Go to Your Friends Profile

You can find your list of Friends in the same menu are your profile. Click their names to go to their profile where you will find the option to send them a Gift!

Step 2: Select Which Gift to Send

Each Gift is unique since they have the artwork and address of the Pokestop with them. You can select from any of your Gifts to send to you friend and that's it! You've successfully sent a Gift.

Can Only Send Gifts to Friends Once a Day

You can only send Gifts to friends once a day! Friends you've already sent a Gift to or still has an unopened gift for you will be marked and cannot be sent any more.

How to Open Gifts

Step 1: Go to Friends List

The Friend List is in the same menu as your profile. From there you can see which friends have sent you gifts that are available for opening!

Step 2: Select the Gift

Opening Gifts is quite easy. Just select the friend who have sent you the Gift to receive and open the Gift! You will also see the address and artwork of the Pokestop the gift came from.
