Step 1: Initiate A Trade With A Friend Close By
Initiate a trade with a Friend by selecting "Trade" while viewing their page! Remember that you must be within 100 meters to initiate a trade!
Step 2: Choose Which Pokemon You Want To Trade
After both you and your friend are ready to trade, you will then be able to choose which Pokemon to trade with each other.
Step 3: Review The Trade And Confirm
Review your trade to check whether you are getting what you want. This includes the Pokemon, candies you are getting, and more! After confirming, you will then receive the Pokemon from the trade!

Trading your Pokemon with friends presents itself with several benefits for both you and your friends! You can earn more candies, stronger Pokemon, and even Lucky Pokemon from trading with friends!
Trade Only Allowed Between Friends
You will only be able to initiate a trade with a friend who is close by. Try to get within 100 meters of your friend to be able to trade Pokemon!
Friendship Between Trainers Affects Trades
The higher the level of Friendship you have, the higher the chances of getting better stats! A higher friendship will also lower the Stardust you need to spend in trades!
Use Stardust To Trade Pokemon
Trading Pokemon will require you to use up some Stardust that you earn! There are certain cases when you will need to spend more Stardust to complete a trade! This includes trading Stronger Pokemon, and Special Trades!

You will only be able to make one Special Trade per day. If you have done a Special Trade, you will need to wait until the next day to do another Special Trade. Special Trades include the following:

What Do You Earn From Trades?
Stronger Pokemon
Trades will give you stronger Pokemon, but will require you to spend more Stardust to be able to complete the trade. This is also the same for Pokemon not registered on your Pokedex, Shiny Pokemon, and Mythical Pokemon!
Candy From The Pokemon You Traded Away
Depending on the location of each Pokemon in the trade, you can get more candies the further they are apart!
