Stall for Time to Secure a 20-Damage OTK with Izudia
Izudia Forestcraft is a control-focused deck designed to survive the early game through constant healing and removal, all to set up a massive 20-damage OTK with Annihilating Onslaught. Thanks to the addition of Miroku, Swarmpetal and Fairy Beastwhisperer, the deck is now much more consistent, making it easier than ever to stabilize and reach your powerful Izudia turns.

Izudia Forestcraft Deck - How to Play
Control the Field and Draw Toward Turn 8

During the early to mid-game, your main goal is to wipe out enemy followers while cycling through your deck to find combo pieces like Izudia. Evolving Glade, Fragrantwood Ward is one of your strongest moves because it provides both AoE removal and card draw at the same time.
Set Up Your First Izudia

As soon as you hit 8 Play Points, play your first Izudia to add the Annihilating Onslaught spell to your hand. If you don't have a second Izudia yet, keep using your draw effects aggressively to find one, you'll need it to finish the game.
Stall the Match with Healing and Removal

After your first Izudia, you need to buy time until the cost of Annihilating Onslaught drops. Focus entirely on staying alive through healing and clearing the field. Deepwood Fairy Beast can restore a massive 9 health, making it your best tool for surviving until your final turn.
Use Fairy Beastwhisperer

Fairy Beastwhisperer makes it much easier to handle threats while keeping your DP up. You can use her Rush ability to save your Evolution Points (EP), or buff her with Gilnelise to massively increase the healing you get from Drain.
Execute the 20-Damage OTK

Once you reduce the cost of Annihilating Onslaught to 2, you can play it alongside your second Izudia to deal exactly 20 damage for a guaranteed OTK. While this usually happens on Turn 12, you can speed this up significantly using Bonus Play Points or Miroku, Swarmpetal.
Speed Up the OTK with Miroku, Swarmpetal

If your Annihilating Onslaught cost has reached 3, you can pull off the 20-damage OTK one turn early by playing Miroku, then Izudia, evolving Miroku, and finally the spell. Since you need to evolve Miroku, make sure you have an EP ready (or use Ewiyar’s Skybound Art to recover one) before you start the combo.
Mulligan Guide for the Izudia Forestcraft
Prioritize Your Draw Engine and Izudia
Since this is a Deck centered around a One-Turn Kill with Izudia, Annihilation Manifest, the basic strategy in your mulligan is to keep Izudia, Annihilation Manifest or a draw engine that can find it. Glade, Fragrantwood Ward also works as removal.
Since your goal is to set up a One-Turn Kill (OTK) with Izudia, your main priority in the starting hand is to keep Izudia or any card that helps you draw into him. Glade, Fragrantwood Ward is a great keep because it helps you cycle through your deck while doubling as a defender.
Hold Defensive Tools Against Aggressive Decks
If you’re facing a deck that floods the field early, you should hold onto your removal cards. Miroku, Swarmpetal is incredibly versatile since it can clear threats early or help you reach lethal later. If your opponent isn't pressuring you, try to save Miroku.
How to Counter the Izudia Forestcraft
Attack Aggressively from the Start

Izudia Forestcraft is a slow, defensive deck that tries to knock you out in a single turn by playing Izudia, Annihilation Manifest twice. Because of this, your best strategy is to end the game as quickly as possible with fast attacks. Start putting followers on the field right from turn 1 and constantly chip away at the enemy leader's health.
Create an Army That Stops Them From Healing

Keep attacking the enemy leader while making it incredibly hard for them to heal themselves. Izudia Forestcraft relies heavily on the "Drain" ability from cards like Fairy Beastwhisperer and Gilnelise to recover health, so a fantastic counter is to play attackers with 'Intimidate' or hide your biggest monsters safely behind a 'Ward'.
Deepwood Fairy Beast Can Only Fight One Enemy at a Time

Deepwood Fairy Beast heals the opponent for a massive amount of health, but it has very weak attack power and can only destroy a single follower, even if they use an Evolution Point on it. If you keep flooding the board with multiple attackers, your opponent will be too overwhelmed to safely play their best cards!
Flood the Board Before Izudia Arrives

Izudia, Annihilation Manifest is terrifying, but he can only destroy a maximum of two followers when he enters the game. You can completely ruin your opponent's plan simply by having three or more attackers in play! The perfect move is to hold onto cards that summon a massive army all at once, like Garyu, Fabled Dragonkin or Kuon, Fivefold Master, and unleash them on the turn right before you expect Izudia to drop.
Beat Them to the Punch with Your Own Combo

If your deck also has a massive, one-turn winning combo, racing them to the finish line is a brilliant strategy. Izudia Forestcraft cannot pull off their ultimate combo until turn 11 at the earliest. This means faster combo decks like Rhinoceroach Forestcraft or Rose Forestcraft can easily strike the final blow first!
Block Their Combo with Temple of Repose

This trick is only for Havencraft players, but using Temple of Repose to completely block their massive attack is incredibly satisfying. The opponent will try to strike the final blow exactly three turns after playing their first Izudia, usually teaming him up with Miroku or Baby Carbuncle. Just make sure your Temple is active right when that turn arrives to stay perfectly safe!
