Tasks Only Available During the 3-Hour Event
The research tasks for Clamperl will only be given out by Pokestops during the time of the event. It's best not to spin any Pokestops until the start of the event as they only give out tasks once per day.
Tasks will Not Expire
Once you get the task, you're free to complete it at your leisure. It won't disappear from you task list even if the event has finished.
Research Tasks are Unknown for Now
What the research tasks for Clamperl are remain will remain as mysteries until the event. Just like the Feebas Limited Research Day, the tasks are only revealed during the event.
Only Specific Pokestops Have Clamperl Research Tasks
It's possible to still get common Research Tasks during the event as the Clamperl Research Tasks are limited to certain Pokestops. Work with other trainers to locate which Pokestops have Clamperl Tasks!

Water Pokemon will Appear More
For the 3-hour event, Water Pokemon will spawn more frequently in the wild! This is your chance to capture Water Pokemon that you've had your eye on.
2x Stardust for Catching Water Pokemon
The event is a good time to stock up because for its duration, stardust gained from catching Water Pokemon is multiplied by 2! Use a Star Piece and you'll get a 4x multiplier per catch!

Receive 2× Catch Stardust for Water-type Pokémon during the three-hour window.
Water-type Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild during the event.
Limited Research tasks will be available when you spin Photo Discs at PokéStops.
Completing the Limited Research tasks will award you encounters with Clamperl.
Clamperl might clam up during Limited Research, so exploring is key! As long as you’ve collected the Limited Research during the event window, you can complete it at any time. Don’t forget—you’ll need to venture onward to many PokéStops in order to get new Field Research tasks and encounter as many Clamperl as possible!
