There are a total of 6 Great Fairy Fountains in Ocarina of Time. Be careful, as there are many puzzles you need to solve to reach the fountains, such as breaking rocks.

How to Get to the Great Fairy Fountain at Hyrule Castle

Climb the Southern Vines

Climb the vines located right after entering Hyrule Castle.

Use Ladder Above the Gate

Ocarina of Time - Use the Ladder

After climbing the vines, descend the ladder in front of you.

Head Towards the Large Boulder

After descending the ladder, open the door and proceed toward the rock straight ahead.

Destroy the Boulder with a Bomb

Ocarina of Time - Boulder

Once you reach the rock, place a bomb to destroy it.

Requires the Bomb Bag

Ocarina of Time - Bomb Bag

Bombs can be carried after obtaining the Bomb Bag found in Dodongo's Cavern. If you haven't obtained it yet, progress through the story until you reach Dodongo's Cavern.

Enter the Crawl Space

Ocarina of Time - Crawl Space

Once you've destroyed the rock with a bomb, a hole will appear — enter it. Proceed forward to arrive at the Great Fairy Fountain.

How to Get to the Great Fairy Fountain on Death Mountain Trail

Head Toward Death Mountain Crater

Ocarina of Time - Death Mountain Trail

First, head toward Death Mountain Crater. Be careful, as there are obstacles along the way such as rocks blocking the path and falling rocks.

Destroy the Rock with a Bomb

Ocarina of Time - Destroying Rocks

Destroy the rock blocking the path with a bomb. Since there is no space to place the bomb, you need to throw it at the right timing.

Requires the Bomb Bag

Ocarina of Time - Bomb Bag

Bombs can be carried after obtaining the Bomb Bag found in Dodongo's Cavern. If you haven't obtained it yet, progress through the story until you reach Dodongo's Cavern.

Block Falling Rocks with Hylian Shield

There is an area where rocks fall from above. Here, it is important to equip the Hylian Shield and crouch-guard when rocks are falling as you move forward.

Climb the Rocky Wall

Once you've passed through the falling rock area, a climbable wall will appear — head for the top.

Place Bomb on the Wall Next to the Crater

Once you reach the top, place a bomb on the stone wall to the left of the crater entrance and destroy it.

Enter the Passage

Once you've destroyed the stone wall, proceed through the opening to arrive at the Great Fairy Fountain.

How to Get to the Great Fairy Fountain at Zora's Fountain

Swim Southeast in Zora's Fountain

Ocarina of Time - Zora's Fountain

First, swim southeast toward the red pin shown in the image.

Place a Bomb on the Brown Rock

Ocarina of Time - Placing Bomb

Once you reach the land, place a bomb on the brown rock to destroy it.

Enter the Passage

Ocarina of Time - Great Fairy

Once the rock is destroyed, a path will open. Proceed through the newly opened cave to arrive at the Great Fairy Fountain.

How to Get to the Great Fairy Fountain at Death Mountain Crater

Head to Death Mountain Crater

Ocarina of Time - Goron City

First, go to Goron City and then head from Goron City toward Death Mountain Crater.

Cross the Bridge and Destroy the Rock

Ocarina of Time - Crossing Bridge

Cross the bridge and you will find a rock blocking the path — destroy it with the Megaton Hammer or a bomb.

Requires the Megaton Hammer

Ocarina of Time - Megaton Hammer

The Megaton Hammer can be obtained in the Fire Temple. If you haven't progressed that far, clear the Fire Temple first.

Enter the Passage

Proceed past the destroyed rock to arrive at the Great Fairy Fountain.

How to Get to the Great Fairy Fountain at Desert Colossus

Head Northeast of the Desert Colossus

Ocarina of Time - Desert Colossus

First, head toward the red pin location shown in the image above.

Place a Bomb on the Crack

Ocarina of Time - Bombing Crack

Once you reach the pin location, there will be a crack in the wall — place a bomb on it to destroy it.

Proceed to Locate the Great the Fairy

Proceed through the opening in the cracked wall to arrive at the Great Fairy Fountain.

How to Get to the Great Fairy Fountain at Ganon's Castle

Go to a Dead End in Ganon's Castle

Ganon's Castle

First, head to the dead end on the east side of Ganon's Castle.

Lift the Giant Boulder

Ocarina of Time - Lifting Boulder

Once you reach the dead end, equip the Golden Gauntlets and lift the rock. After moving the rock, a path will continue beyond it — proceed forward to arrive at the Great Fairy Fountain.

Requries the Golden Gauntlets

Ocarina of Time - Golden Gauntlets

To lift the rock, you need to obtain the Golden Gauntlets inside the Barrier of Ganon's Castle.

How to Summon the Great Fairy

Play Zelda's Lullaby

Ocarina of Time - Zelda

In Ocarina of Time, if the Great Fairy doesn't appear, stand on the Triforce symbol in the Great Fairy Fountain and play Zelda's Lullaby to make her appear.
