Open the Equipment Screen From the Menu

3. Select the weapon to equip with .

In Ocarina of Time, you can equip items by opening the equipment screen from the menu and selecting an item. The menu can be opened with the + button.

Bracelets and Scales are activated just by having them

Bracelets/Gloves and Scales automatically take effect the moment you obtain them. Therefore, you do not need to equip them from the equipment screen.

Some equipment has conditions or restrictions

Some equipment can only be used in a specific era. Also, some weapons have restrictions, such as preventing you from equipping a shield.
