How to Defeat Gohma
The key to defeating Gohma is recognizing its attack patterns. When its eye turns red, dodge its attack, then shoot its eye with the Slingshot to stun it, creating an opening to attack.
Red Eyes Signal Incoming Attack
When Gohma's eye turns red, it's a signal that an attack is coming. Prepare to backflip when it slams its arms down for a frontal attack. Use Z-Targeting to make it easier to dodge and aim at Gohma while it's on the ceiling.
Counter with Slingshot After Dodging
After dodging its attack, aim for Gohma's eye with your Slingshot. Hitting its eye will stun Gohma, giving you a chance to attack it with your sword.
Use Deku Nut to Immobilize It
If you have Deku Nuts during the fight, you can also use them to stun Gohma. After stunning it with a Deku Nut, attack Gohma with your sword before it gets back up.
(Optional) Use Deku Stick
Alternatively, use a Deku Stick instead of the Kokiri Sword for a faster kill. A Jump Attack with a Deku Stick deals more damage than the Kokiri Sword. Keep in mind that Deku Sticks break easily, so bring enough to defeat Gohma.
Destroy Eggs Before They Hatch
Gohma may move to the ceiling and drop 3 eggs. If left alone, these eggs can hatch into hostile Gohma Larva. Prioritize in destroying the eggs before they can hatch so you won't have to deal with additional enemies in this boss fight.
