How to Defeat Volvagia
Volvagia can be tricky to fight because it alternates between burrowing underground and flying through the air. Creating openings is essential to dealing damage to this boss,
Hit With Hammer After Emerging From Hole
Volvagia will move in and out of the underground holes during the fight. Strike its head with the Megaton Hammer as it emerges to stagger it. This gives you an opening to land several attacks before it recovers.
Dodge Flames First Before Striking
Volvagia has a damage hitbox the instant it emerges from its hole. When closing in, dodge its flames first, then move in for the hit!
Can Fake Which Hole When HP is Low
After taking enough damage, Volvagia may try to trick you by faking which hole it will emerge from. Make sure it is actually emerging from the hole before committing to the Megaton Hammer.
Stay on Platform's Edge to Dodge Boulder
During the fight, Volvagia will fly up and drop boulders around the area. Stay near the edge of the platform as soon as Volvagia flies up to avoid the boulders.
Shoot with Bow When Airborne
When Volvagia goes airborne, it will be out of range of your melee attacks. Switch to your bow and use Z-targeting to attack it instead.
