How to Defeat Twinrova

To defeat Twinrova in Ocarina of Time, you need to reflect her elemental attacks using the Mirror Shield. During the second phase, absorb the same type of elemental magic three times in a row to charge the Mirror Shield and reflect a powerful blast back at her.

Reflect the Attacks With Mirror Shield

Controls
Hold

In the Twinrova fight, you deal damage by reflecting the bosses' attacks with the Mirror Shield. The battle has two phases. In the first phase, you face Koume (fire) and Kotake (ice). Reflect one sister's magic back at the other to deal damage.

Fight Without Z-Targeting in Phase 1

Without Z-Targeting

During Phase 1, you need to adjust the Mirror Shield's angle to reflect the sisters' magic toward each other. Since Z-targeting locks the shield's direction, turn off Z-targeting and fight without locking onto either sister to freely adjust the shield's angle.

Reposition to Keep Both Enemies in View

Since you need to reflect one sister's attack toward the other, keep moving to maintain a clear view of both enemies at all times.

Absorb the Same Element 3 Times After Merging

Once you deal enough damage in Phase 1, the sisters merge into Twinrova. In Phase 2, absorb the same elemental magic 3 times in a row with the Mirror Shield to unleash a powerful reflected blast. Focus on either fire or ice and block three consecutive attacks of the same element.

Z-Targeting Is Easier in Phase 2

Since there is only one enemy in Phase 2, you don't need to manually adjust the reflection angle. Use Z-targeting to automatically face Twinrova, making it easier to absorb and reflect her attacks.

Dodge Elements You Aren't Absorbing

Twinrova's attacks in Ocarina of Time

If you block a magic projectile of a different element than the one you have been absorbing with the Mirror Shield, your absorption progress will be reset. When a different elemental attack comes your way, dodge it and let it pass.

Watch Out for Attacks That Linger on the Floor

When the boss's attack hits the floor, it remains as a damage zone for a short time. When dodging, be careful not to step near the impact point.

Attack with Sword After a Successful Reflection

When you land a reflected blast, Twinrova will be knocked down. Rush in and attack her with your sword before she recovers. Repeat the cycle of absorbing magic, reflecting it, knocking her down, and attacking until she is defeated.

Reflected Blasts Have Limited Range

The Mirror Shield's reflected blasts have limited range. After absorbing the third elemental attack, move closer to Twinrova to ensure the reflected blast reaches her.
