How to Expand Your Wallet
Return Tokens to the House of Skulltula

In Ocarina of Time, wallet expansion is obtained by visiting the House of Skulltula while holding tokens obtained from defeating Gold Skulltulas, and speaking with the people whose curses have been lifted. Rewards are given based on the number collected.
Gold Skulltula Locations and RewardsBoth Wallets Obtainable as a Child
Both the Adult's Wallet and the Giant's Wallet can be obtained before the transition from Child Link to Adult Link. If you have been diligently collecting the Gold Skulltulas, you should have enough tokens by the time you reach Zora's Fountain.
How to Get Adult's Wallet

Collect 10 Gold Skulltula Tokens and visit the House of Skulltula in Kakariko Village. Then speak to the first family member whose curse has been broken to receive the Adult's Wallet.
How to Get Giant's Wallet

Collect 30 Gold Skulltula Tokens and return to the House of Skulltula. Speak to the third family member whose curse has been broken to receive the Giant's Wallet.

Expanding your wallet in Ocarina of Time increases the number of Rupees you can carry. It will always be useful since increasing the number of Rupees you can carry allows you to purchase more Items.
