Show Zelda's Letter to Kakariko Village Guard

Go to the Mask Shop in Hyrule Castle Market

Go to Hyrule Castle Market and enter the Mask Shop in front of the Temple of Time.
Get the Keaton Mask

Talk to the Mask Shop owner and get the Keaton Mask.
Talk to the guard in Kakariko Village

Return to Kakariko Village and talk to the gatekeeper while wearing the Keaton Mask to sell it. He will buy it for 15 Rupees, so you'll make a profit of 5 Rupees.
Get Skull Mask from the Mask Shop

Return to the Mask Shop and pay 10 Rupees. You will now be able to select the Skull Mask, so take it.
Talk to the Skull Kid in the Lost Woods

From Kokiri Forest, enter the Lost Woods and talk to the Skull Kid immediately to the left while wearing the Skull Mask to sell it. However, you will only receive 10 Rupees, so be aware that you will need an additional 10 Rupees when you return the money to the Mask Shop.
Play Saria's Song on the Pedestal if He Won't Talk

When you visit this location for the first time, you cannot talk to the Skull Kid. Stand on the pedestal and play Saria's Song to receive a Heart Piece, after which you will be able to talk to him.
Get Spooky Mask from the Mask Shop

Return to the Mask Shop and give them 20 Rupees. You will now be able to select the Spooky Mask, so take it.
Talk to the Child in the Graveyard

Go to the Graveyard, accessible from the east side of Kakariko Village, and talk to the child there while wearing the Spooky Mask to sell it.
Get Bunny Hood from the Mask Shop

Return to the Mask Shop and give them 30 Rupees. You will now be able to select the Bunny Hood, so take it.
Continue until you get the Ocarina of Time

The Running Man, who you give the Bunny Hood to, will not appear until you have progressed the story to the point of obtaining the Ocarina of Time. If you are in the middle of a dungeon, proceed with the story first.
Talk to the Running Man in Hyrule Field

Talk to the Running Man running around Hyrule Field while wearing the Bunny Hood to sell it. However, since he is running during the Day and you can't talk to him, aim to talk to him when he is resting at Night. When you give him the Mask, you will receive Rupees up to your Wallet's limit.
Find Him Faster by Circling Clockwise

The Running Man runs counter-clockwise around Lon Lon Ranch in Hyrule Field. Therefore, you can find him easily by searching clockwise. Once you find him, immediately use the Sun's Song to make it Night.

Using Warps is Not Allowed
Using a warp song like the Minuet of Forest will forcefully reduce the remaining time to 1 second, causing you to fail. Keep in mind that this applies to all timed events from the Odd Mushroom onward.
Show the Odd Potion to the Kokiri

After getting the Odd Potion from the Old Hag, return to the poacher's location in the Lost Woods. The poacher will be gone, and a Kokiri girl will be there instead. Show her the Odd Potion to receive the Poacher's Saw.
Bring Poacher's Saw to Master Craftsman

Once you receive the Eyeball Frog from King Zora, you must deliver it to the Doctor at Lake Hylia within 3 minutes. You can save time by flowing down the Zora River. If you show it to him within 3 minutes, you will receive the World's Finest Eye Drops.

Show World's Finest Eye Drops to Biggoron

After receiving the World's Finest Eye Drops from the Doctor, deliver them to Biggoron on Death Mountain within 4 minutes. You Can Also Take the Route Through the Lost Woods
| Route | Lake Hylia→Hyrule Field→Kokiri Forest→Lost Woods→Goron City→Death Mountain Crater→Summit |

If you have cleared the story up to the Fire Temple, the route through the Lost Woods is also recommended. While the heat timer is active in the crater, the eye drops timer does not decrease, so if you have extra time before entering the crater, you can reach it with ease. Be sure to take off the Goron Tunic before entering the crater.
Show Claim Check to Biggoron after 3 days

After receiving the Claim Check, show it to Biggoron again 3 days later to get the Biggoron's Sword. If you want to get it quickly, you can play the Sun's Song 6 times to immediately advance 3 days.

Item Trading Rewards
- Get Mask of Truth and Mask Rentals
- Get Biggoron's Sword in Adult Timeline
By completing the trading sequences in Ocarina of Time, you can earn the Mask of Truth, unlock mask rentals, and obtain Biggoron's Sword. Because the child and adult timelines have different rewards, you'll need to finish both to collect them all.
Get Mask of Truth and Mask Rentals

In the child Link's trading sequence, you can obtain the Mask of Truth. While wearing the Mask of Truth, you can read the thoughts of people you talk to and hear rumors from Gossip Stones. In addition to the masks used during the trading sequence, you'll also be able to borrow the Goron Mask, Zora Mask, and Gerudo Mask.
Obtain Large Amounts of Rupees

Towards the end of the trading sequence, when you give the Bunny Hood to the Running Man, you can receive Rupees up to your wallet's limit. If you have the Giant's Wallet, you can get up to 500 Rupees, so if you don't want to waste any Rupees, it's a good idea to get the Giant's Wallet first or spend your money beforehand.
Get Biggoron's Sword in Adult Timeline

By completing the adult Link's trading sequence, you can obtain the hidden weapon, Biggoron's Sword. It's a two-handed sword with twice the power of the Master Sword, so it's useful to have for the final boss battle.
What Is the Item Trading Event?
A Side Quest for Trading with NPCs

The item trading event in Ocarina of Time is a side quest where you talk to specific NPCs in order, exchange items, and receive a final reward. There are separate trading sequences for both child and adult Link. Also, since it's not necessary to progress the story, you can complete them whenever you have time.
