How to Get Magic Beans

Purchase From Bean Seller Near Zora's River

Purchase From Bean Seller Near Zora's River

You can buy Magic Beans from the Magic Bean Seller near the Zora's River entrance found northeast of Hyrule Field. He sells up to 10 Magic Beans, and you need to buy and use them as Child Link.

Costs +10 Rupees Each Time

Total:550 Rupees

Each time you purchase Magic Beans, the price of the following purchase increase by 10 Rupees. The total cost for all 10 of them will be 550 Rupees so it's better to buy them one by one rather than in bulk.

How to Use Magic Beans

Plant Them in Soft Soil as a Child

Plant Them in Soft Soil as a Child

Magic Beans can only be planted in Soft Soil as a Child. While standing n front of Soft Soil, equip and use the beans. A sprout appears in the soil once you've planted the bean successfully.

You Can Farm Fairies from Soft Soil

Three fairies appear near the Soft Soil if you play the Song of Storms there. Be sure to fill up any Empty Bottles if you need to!

Ride the Platform as an Adult

Ride the Grown Leaf as an Adult

Magic Beans mature into a platform when you return to planted Soft Soil locations as Adult Link. Stand on the grown leaves to be carried to otherwise inaccessible items or access shortcuts.
