How to Get Magic Beans

Purchase From Bean Seller Near Zora's River

Purchase From Bean Seller Near Zora's River

Magic Beans can be purchased from the Bean Seller near the entrance to Zora's River. Head there from the from the northeast of Hyrule Field to purchase them whenever you have Rupees to pay.

Each time you purchase Magic Beans, the price of the next one will increase by 10 Rupees. The total cost for all 10 of them will be 550 Rupees so it's better to buy them one by one rather than in bulk.

How to Use Magic Beans

Plant Them in Soft Soil as a Child

Plant Them in Soft Soil as a Child

Magic Beans can only be planted in Soft Soil when Link is a child. In front of a Soft Soil, equip the beans and use them. You will know that the plant is successful when a sprout appears in the spot.

3 Fairies Appear When Song of Storms is Played

Three fairies will appear in the plant spot when you play the Song of Storms there. Use this to easily capture fairies, but make sure to have Empty Bottles when you do this!

Ride the Grown Leaf as an Adult

Ride the Grown Leaf as an Adult

Visiting the same spot where a bean was planted as an older Link will show that a Leaf has grown there. Standing on the leaf will carry you through an aerial route that can bring you to item locations or shortcuts.
