Scorpy Beast Spawn Location
Challenge at the Altar of Wisdom's Stone Statue
The Scorpy Beast can be fought by interacting with the Stone Statue at the Altar of Wisdom found in the Silent Desert Area. However, it is only unlocked upon clearing Main Story Act 10 - 11.

Cold Element Team

Since the Scorpy Beast is weak against Cold, this team takes advantage of that. Use Jericho's Normal Skill to accumulate Burst, then use Mannie to deal massive damage when Cold Burst is active.
Other Elements is Not Recommended
The Scorpy Beast is highly resistant to every other element besides Cold. Bringing a party centered on another element will make this fight highly difficult. It's recommended to focus on building a Cold team instead.

If you do not have any Cold characters, it is still possible to beat the Scorpy Beast. Bring a team that can deal damage without relying on their Burst. Sample characters with special attacks include Staff King or Greatsword Tristant.

Bringing Cold element characters are recommended to take advantage of the Scorpy Beast's weakness. Dual Blades Jericho, in particular, excels here due to her stable damage and Burst accumulation.

Due to the Scorpy Beast's elemental resistance, it's expected that it will be a drawn out battle when you bring a team with non-Cold characters. Having healers and equipping potions is recomemded to survive the fight!
How to Beat Scorpy Beast
Stay Close to the Hind Leg
The Scorpy Beast's attacks when on the ground are mostly frontal. It's relatively safe to stay behind its hind legs during the fight. Adjust your position to match the Scorpy Beast's during the battle.
Move Away When It Flies Up
When the Scorpy Beast flies up, it will follow up with either a linear attack with a tornado, a large tornado area attack, or a dive attack. Move away, but keep the Scorpy Beast in your sights to be able to see when is the right time to dodge.
Learn the Pattern for the Tornado Attack
This attack starts with a Tornado in a center with another two appearing in both sides. Knowing how to attack works will help with dodging it.
Move Sideways to Avoid Tornado Area Attack
The Tornado attack will appear where the Scorpy Beast is facing. It has a wide area range, but moving sideways will allow you to avoid it.
Dodge or Use Ultimate for the Dive Attack
For the Area attack, you need to be quick as the dodging window for it is quite tight. If you find this hard to do, it's better to use an Ultimate Move to I-Frame the attack instead.
Watch Which Leg It Raises
While on the ground, it will frequently perform scratch attacks with its front legs. Whichever leg it raises will be the one it attacks with.
Always Dodge the Spinning Tail Attack
When the Scorpy Beast takes a step back, it will spin its entire body, sweeping the area with its tail. This is a high damage attack and if you're not properly geared or leveled up, it can one shot your character. Make sure to having sufficient stamina at all times to dodge it.
Tips & Tricks for Scorpy Beast
Field Changes During the Fight
As the fight against the Scorpy Beast goes on, it will eventually fly off and the area will become plagued by a sandstorm. It will become harder to see around. This will also signal the change in the Scorpy Beast's attacks.
Wind Direction is Clue for Charge Attack
When the Scorpy Beast disappears into the sandstorm, it will ambush you with a charge attack. The direction of the wind will clue you in to where it will come from!
Big Area Move Before Sandstorm Disappears
Eventually, the Scorpy Beast will unleash a big attack that will cover the whole area. After this attack, the sandstorm will clear. This can be difficult to dodge, so it's recommended to use an Ultimate Attack to avoid it instead.
Keep an Eye on Stun Gauge
The circular icon next to the enemy's HP bar is the stun gauge. With every attack on the enemy, it will fill up and when full, the enemy will be knocked down. Keep an eye on the gauge and play strategically around it to ensure high damage when the enemy is stunned.
Aim for Openings, Attack From Side or Behind
The Scorpy Beasts has a wide arsenal of attacks with some in particular being hard to avoid. It's recommended to use a hit-and-run strat against it, as well as to stay at its sides and behind.
How to Prepare for Scorpy Beast Fight
Adjust World Level
Bosses found around the map vary in difficulty depending on the World Level. If your score is lower than the recommended score for the boss, it's better to just lower you World Level. This can be done in the Book of Stars. Do note that this will alter the rewards you can get from the fight.
Register Potions to Quick Slot
It's also essential to have a number of Potions with you. Make sure to register Potions in your Quick Slot before fighting the Scorpy Beast. This will allow you to heal quickly while in combat.

Enhance & Strengthen Your Characters
Since the Scorpy Beast can be quite difficult to fight, it's recommended that you challenge it after sufficiently enhancing and strengthening your characters. Unlock Mastery for your characters and progress Weapon Mastery to challenge it with ease.
