This article explains how to fish in 7DS Origin (The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin). Including fishing tips, how to get bait, and the benefits of fishing in 7DS Origin.
How to Fish and Tips
- Progress Until Tioreh Joins
- Go to a Body of Water Where You Can Fish
- Select Bait and Cast Your Rod
- Wait for a Fish to Bite
- Keep the Bar Within the Yellow Gauge
- Maintain until the Catch Gauge Is Full

You can start fishing after progressing through Act 1 of the story until Tioreh joins your party. Field exploration also becomes available once fishing is unlocked, so look for fishing spots while exploring.

Fishing can be done in deep bodies of water, such as seas or lakes. The types of fish you can catch vary depending on the fishing spot, so check the “Fishing Spot Info.”

Once you arrive at a fishing spot, select your bait and cast your rod. There are three types of bait: Low-quality, Uncommon, and Premium, and different fish respond to different types of bait. Choose the bait based on the fish you want to catch.
Some types of fish can be caught without using bait. In the early game, it is recommended to practice fishing without bait to conserve your supply.

After casting your rod, wait for a fish to bite. When a fish is on the line, a "!" mark will appear. Left-click to start the minigame.
The glowing blue spots when you cast your rod indicate areas where you can fish even without visible fish shadows. Fish will emerge from underwater, so wait for them to bite.

| 1. | Press the "Pull" button to adjust the bar |
| 2. | Keep the bar within the yellow gauge |
| 3. | Succeed when the catch gauge is full |
After a fish bites, skillfully control the moving bar to keep it within the yellow gauge. The bar automatically descends and rises when you left-click. Be careful, if the bar moves outside the yellow gauge, the catch gauge will reset.
When the catch gauge is full, the fish is successfully caught. It will be stored in your bag and can be used as a cooking ingredient or a recovery item.
How to Get Bait
Craft at the Workbench

Bait can be crafted at a Workbench. A refined workbench is required to craft Uncommon or higher bait, so be sure to level up and upgrade your workbench.
| Low-quality | Small Meat x1 |
| Uncommon | Bait (Low-quality) x1 Fish Oil x1 *Requires Sturdy Workbench |
| Premium | Bait (Uncommon) x1 Fish Oil x2 Large Meat x1 *Requires Refined Workbench |
Benefits of Fishing
Craft Recovery Items Using Caught Fish

Cooking the fish you catch yields “Fish Fillet,” an ingredient for HP recovery items. Fish Fillet can also directly restore HP, and can be used to craft recovery items with buffs, so make sure to use it actively.
Recovers HP Instantly but Has Drawbacks

Some types of fish have a healing effect. Using them will restore a small amount of HP, but be careful—there is a chance of food poisoning, which can cause HP loss instead.
Earn Rewards Through Achievements

By catching specific fish, you can complete the "Legendary Angler" collection achievement. Completing this achievement rewards 500 Star Memory, so it’s recommended to work on it every day.
| Legendary Angler Achievement Conditions |
| Catch 1 of each: Moss Arowana, Silver Arowana, Horned Arowana, Armored Arowana, Luminous Arowana, Night Sky Arowana, and Spotted Coelacanth |
How to Unlock Fishing

| Unlock Condition | After Clearing Act 1, Episode 2 |
Fishing is unlocked once Tioreh joins your party in Act 1, Episode 2 of the story. No fishing rod crafting is required, so you can start fishing immediately after the tutorial.
