Gimmicks for Exploration
Unlock Warp Points

Throughout the field, certain structures can be unlocked to be used as Fast Travel Points. Their locations can also be found on the map, so be sure to unlock them whenever you see one nearby.
High Jump Mushrooms

Standing on large mushrooms lets you perform a super jump, which is useful for reaching honey on top of trees or getting to elevated areas like cliff tops. Mushroom-shaped enemies that look similar often appear nearby, so be careful not to get attacked.
Flowers That Generate Updrafts

Blue flowers generate Updrafts when you charge a nearby Wind Element Stone with a Wind attack and hit it with the wind orb. Since Howzer, who joins your party during the Story, has the Wind element, make sure to include him in your team when activating flowers.
Rings That Give You a Boost

Air currents flow through the center of rings floating in the air, allowing you to move without consuming Stamina when using a gliding or flying pet. Since they let you bypass cliffs and other obstacles, use them when you want to travel long distances.
Boats to Travel Across Water

Starting from Act 2 of the Story, you can ride boats to travel across water, which is faster than swimming. When you leave the boat it will disappear but returns to the harbor at Liones Beach, northwest of Liones Castle, where you first boarded it. If you want to ride the boat again, warp to the beach.
Boat Location

You can repair the boat in the final episode of Act 1, "Episode 72: Open the Waterway," and ride it starting from Act 2, Episode 1. There is also a fast travel point nearby, so make sure to unlock it.
Gimmicks Using the Book of Stars
Charging and Switching Required

At stones that charge the Book of Stars, you can restore the Book of Stars' usage count and change its abilities.
Book of Stars Usage Count

The Book of Stars' usage counter is at the bottom right of the Minimap. After 5 uses, it runs out of power and cannot be used again until recharged, so keep track of the counter as you explore.
Charge Stone Locations

Charge Stone locations are displayed on the map in the same color as the Charge Stone's color, such as light blue or purple. If you want to switch abilities, check the map for nearby Charge Stones.
Carry Objects Like Locus Stones

This ability, learned during the tutorial, lets you carry objects. It has various uses, such as fitting Locus Stones into structures or placing stones on top of switches.
Repair Broken Objects

Selecting all broken fragments restores them to their original form. Repairable fragments are surrounded by a purple aura, so look for this when identifying which Structures can be fixed.
Charge Stones for Unlearned Abilities
Charge stones for abilities you haven't yet learned through Main Quest progression cannot be used for charging and won't appear on the map. Progress through the Story and revisit once the ability becomes available.
Gimmicks For Opening Chests
Insert Locus Stones

Structures like the one shown in the image are placed in various locations throughout the field. When you use the Book of Stars to insert a nearby Locus Stone into the center, a Treasure Chest will appear near the Structure.
Golems With Locus Stones

Locus Stones aren't always just lying on the ground — nearby golems may be carrying them. If you can't find one, try defeating nearby golems.
Some Require Elemental Attacks

These are devices that activate with elemental attacks. For example, this one shoots a Fire-element projectile when continuously hit by Fire attacks. These devices can be moved with the Book of Stars and are used to destroy objects that cannot be broken by Hero attacks, such as trees blocking paths or vines wrapped around Treasure Chests.
Some Require Different Elements

Element projectile devices don't only require Fire; they may need other elements such as Wind. Check the corresponding element by its color and markings, then attack with a weapon type or Hero that has that element to fire the elemental projectile.
| Element List | |||
|---|---|---|---|
Fire | Wind | Cold | Earth |
Lightning | Holy | Darkness | Physical |
Defeat Nearby Enemies

Locked Treasure Chests can be opened by defeating all nearby enemies. Typically, the same type of enemies surround the Treasure Chest, so make sure to defeat every last one.
Other Gimmicks
Goddess Statues

Approaching a Goddess Statue heals you without consuming any items. They are displayed as green heart icons on the map, so when your HP is low, warp to a fast travel point nearby to heal your team.
Statue South of Liones Castle

The Goddess Statue south of Liones Castle is located very close to a Warp Point. This one is recommended for healing, since there are few enemies in the area.
