Red Demon - Team Comp and Characters
Team Comp Example
DianeAxe | ElaineWand | SlaterAxe | HendricksonLongsword |
This team is built to deal Earth-element damage, exploiting the Red Demon's weakness. With Elaine's shield, you can safely utilize Slater's high-commitment Bleed application and Diane's Special Attack.
Hendrickson serves as the primary healer, though King or Tioreh can also be used as alternatives. However, avoid using Fire-element attacks, as they will buff the enemy.
Recommended Characters
| Recommended Character | Reason |
|---|---|
Diane | - All of her weapons are Earth Element - Her Special Attacks and skill damage are enhanced during Earth Burst |
Elaine | - Can grant a Shield - Can inflict Petrify to enhance Earth Element Damage |
Since the Red Demon is weak to the Earth Element, Earth-element characters are recommended. Attacking it with Fire-element damage grants the boss an Attack buff, so avoid including Fire-element characters in your party whenever possible.
Red Demon - Basic Strategy
Fight on the Demon's Left Arm Side
When fighting the Red Demon, position yourself near its left arm. Few attacks target this area, and their telegraphs are easy to read, allowing you to avoid damage with proper timing.
Dodge Behind When Left Hand Flames

When it raises its left hand and holds a flame, dodge toward its back. It will strike its left side with the flame, so move away, then re-engage to attack.
Retreat When the Right Arm Raises
When the Red Demon raises its right arm, it will either perform a flame slam at its feet or two arm swings followed by a jump. You can easily dodge this by backing away, so pay attention to its arm movements.
Create Distance When It Claps
When it raises both hands and conjures flames, four fireballs will fall from the sky. These create DoT zones at their impact points, so reposition quickly and let them land away from the main combat area.
Red Demon Combat Tips
Don't Attack with the Fire Element

Attacking the Red Demon with the Fire element grants it an Attack buff. If you avoid using Fire element attacks, a Defense debuff will be applied to it instead, so it is recommended not to include Fire element characters in your party.
Counter Blue Attacks with Tag or Dodge
When the Red Demon glows blue, counter with a Tag Skill or create distance and dodge. In particular, the attack used below 50% HP has a wide range and high damage, so it's safer to retreat rather than attempt a Dodge.
Petrify Resistance Drops After Counter

After successfully countering the Red Demon, its Petrify resistance is temporarily removed. Petrified enemies cannot act and take increased Physical and Earth-element damage, so use Petrify if available.
Red Aura Signals an Opening
When the Red Demon is enveloped in a red aura, it breathes fire forward. It is defenseless during this attack, creating a safe opening to strike, so take advantage of it.
Preparing for the Red Demon
Register Potions to the Quick Slot

Before challenging the Red Demon, register healing potions to your Quick Slot. This allows you to instantly recover HP during the fight.
You can register items to the Quick Slot from your Bag. Healing potions can also be crafted at the Workbench, so make them as needed.
Enhance Your Equipment
| Recommended Level | Mastery 30 + Weapon Mastery 1 |
|---|
Before challenging the Red Demon, enhance your characters and equipment as much as possible. You'll clear it more easily if you unlock Mastery up to level 30 for your party members and progress their Weapon Mastery.
How to Level Mastery FastIf a single hit removes around 20% of your HP, your build needs improvement. Review all stat sources like Mastery, Weapons, and Armor before attempting the boss again.
