Teams and Recommended Characters
Sample Team
TristanDual Swords | TiorehWand | SlaterGreatsword | GuilaLance |
This team focuses on Fire-element damage, exploiting the Corrupted Guardian Golem's weakness. Using Tristan to trigger a Fire Element Burst increases your attackers' damage output.
Recommended Characters
| Recommended Characters | Reason |
Guila | - All of her weapons are Fire Element - Her Lance is highly recommended as an effective attacker |
Slater | - His initial weapon is Fire Element - Deals increased damage while Fire Element Burst is active |
Tristan | - Easy to build up Fire Burst - Can enhance allies' Fire Element attacks - Can apply a Fire Element Defense debuff to enemies |
Since the Corrupted Guardian Golem is weak to Fire, Fire-element characters are recommended. Use Dual Swords Tristan to boost their damage, and deal high damage with attackers like Guila and Slater.
Corrupted Guardian Golem Combat Tips
Dodge Most Attacks by Moving Back
Aside from its wide-range attacks, the boss only uses close-range attacks, which can be dodged by stepping back slightly. Observe its movements to anticipate the type and timing of attacks.
Right Hand Glow Signals Beam Attack
The beam attack slightly tracks movement to the right. To dodge safely, move backward to the left or retreat a greater distance.
Body Twist Signals Sweep Attack
The ground sweep has a short wind-up, making it hard to dodge. Strike when an opening appears, and stay ready for the next attack.
Front Legs Raised Signals AoE Attack
This attack targets the frontal area, so staying behind the Corrupted Guardian Golem keeps you safe. However, being too close to its hind legs can still hit you, so it’s safer to retreat before attacking.
Handle the Jump Attack Calmly
Corrupted Guardian Golem jumps a random distance forward and strikes its landing spot. With a long wind-up, you can anticipate its landing and dodge accordingly.
Vertical AoE Signals Homing Beam
A long vertical area-of-effect telegraph indicates a fast-tracking beam attack. A single dash is insufficient to evade it, so perform consecutive dashes while maintaining awareness of surrounding obstacles.
Corrupted Guardian Golem Combat Tips
Beware Its Black Aura Warp Attack
When the Corrupted Guardian Golem is cloaked in a black aura, it signals an incoming warp attack. It will charge from a black mist that spawns at a random location. Once the mist appears, dodge to the left or right to avoid the hit.
Hide in AoE Gaps
This attack creates multiple small AoEs with safe gaps between them. Position yourself in a gap and wait until the attack ends. At the start, you will be pulled in and briefly stunned, so identify a safe spot before the stun wears off.
Destroy Casings to Lower Defense

Destroying the casings (orbs) ejected during certain attacks reduces the boss's Defense by 5% per casing. However, they regenerate frequently, so prioritize breaking them while maintaining damage on the boss.
Fire Debuff Lowers Casing Defense
Applying a Fire debuff to the casings (orbs) reduces their Defense for 12 seconds, making them easier to destroy. Quickly breaking them during this window further weakens the boss's Defense.
Destroying All Casing Creates an Opening
Destroying all casings will inflict Daze and further reduce the boss's Defense by 40%. However, if they are not destroyed quickly, the boss will restore them with a 'reloading' action, so avoid overcommitting.
Attack During Casing Reload
When the Corrupted Guardian Golem begins reloading its casings after all five have been ejected, it becomes stationary and stops attacking. This window lasts long enough to execute a full damage rotation.
Large AoE Signals Reload
It begins reloading casings after an attack that creates a large red circular AoE. Move outside the area, then heal, swap characters, and prepare to attack immediately.
