Molbog - Team Comp and Characters

Team Comp Example

MannieMannie
Longsword
JerichoJericho
Dual Swords
SlaterSlater
Axe
HendricksonHendrickson
Longsword

Molbog is weak to the Cold Element. Therefore, attacking with Cold characters will allow you to deal more damage than usual. In particular, Jericho's Frozen Saber can quickly build up the Burst Gauge before dealing massive damage with Mannie during the Burst.

Recommended Characters

Recommended CharactersReason
MannieMannie- Cold element Burst Attacker
- Boosting her Crit Chance increases her damage output
JerichoJericho- Builds up Cold element Burst
- Can also deal damage while Frozen Saber is active
HendricksonHendrickson- Healer that recovers HP with his Ultimate Move
- Straightforward, easy-to-use skills like Holy element and Defense buffs

Since Molbog is weak to Cold elements, Cold element characters are recommended. The support slot taken by Hendrickson can instead be used by King or Tioreh, depending on your preferences.

Basic Strategy for the Molbog Fight

Standing in Front Will Get You Bitten

Standing in front of Molbog will cause it to use a biting attack, so try to attack from behind or from the side as much as possible.

Watch Out for the Tail Sweep

Even when attacking from the side or behind, you cannot let your guard down. When Molbog lifts its leg, it twist its body and sweep with its tail. Watch its movements carefully and Dodge.

Saliva Attack When It Gargles Its Throat

When Malbog stops moving and starts gargling, this designates a spitting attack. Avoid it by keeping your distance and circling around to its back.

Getting Hit Sometimes Slows

Seven Deadly Sins: Origin (7DSO) - Movement Speed Debuff

Some attacks apply a movement speed reduction debuff. Attacks with debuffs are indicated by a yellow effect, so make sure to avoid getting hit by them.

Tongue Slam When It Raises Its Head

When Molbog raises its head and extends its tongue, it will slam its tongue down. The range is narrow and leaves a large opening, but getting hit deals significant damage, so be sure to avoid it.

Create Distance During the Spin Attack

This is Molbog's most troublesome attack — the spin attack. Getting caught in it will cause a large flinch and leave you open to multiple hits. Manage your Stamina carefully, and use just Dodge to escape. After the spin attack, Molbog will be Stunned, making it a prime opportunity to counterattack.

Being Slowed Will Guarantee a Hit

If you have the movement speed reduction debuff, there is a high chance you will be unable to escape in time. Try to avoid the debuff attacks as much as possible, and if you do get hit, keep your distance until the debuff wears off.

Run Away from Big Attacks

Molbog's suction attack will inflict Stun and deal heavy damage if you don't move out of the attack range quickly, but your movement speed is greatly reduced during the suction, making it a difficult attack to avoid.

Pro Tip With good timing, you can activate your Ultimate Move about 3 seconds after the suction begins, using the Invincibility frames to completely avoid the attack.

High Jump Telegraphs Big Attack

Molbog makes a high jump before the suction attack. Use this as a cue, consistently moving away whenever it Molbog performs a high jump will help you avoid getting hit.

Calmly Move Away from Poison Rain

When Molbog's back starts glowing purple, and it begins charging, that is the signal for the poison rain attack. The range is random, but there is a brief window between the attack indicator and the impact, so stay calm and Dodge.

Tips for Defeating Molbog

Vulnerable After Using Attacks

Molbog has many attacks with large hitboxes. Adopt a hit-and-run playstyle and never miss any opening to attack. Observe its movements closely and anticipate its attacks.

Safer to Use Ranged Characters

Seven Deadly Sins: Origin (7DSO) - Guila and Tioreh

Fighting from a distance lets you attack from relative safe distance and conserve Stamina. This makes it much easier to Dodge incoming attacks.

Preparing for Molbog

Register Potions to a Quick Slot

Seven Deadly Sins: Origin (7DSO) - Quickslot Potion

When taking on tough enemies like bosses, it is recommended to register HP Recovery potions to your Quick Slot in advance. Having them registered in the Quick Slot allows you to recover HP instantly.

HP Recovery and Healer Heroes List

Tip! You can register items in the Quick Slot from your bag. HP Recovery potions can also be crafted at the workbench, so craft them as needed.

Enhance Your Characters

When taking on tough enemies like bosses, it is a good idea to enhance your characters and equipment as much as possible. Unlocking your characters' Mastery up to 30 and advancing their weapon Mastery to a reasonable level will allow you to tackle the fight with minimal difficulty.

Character Progression Priority

Tip! If a single attack is taking 20% of your HP, you need to reassess your status. Review everything related to your characters' stats: Mastery, weapons, Armor, and more, before attempting the fight.
