How to Unlock the Pet Feature
Unlocked in Act 1, Episode 22

The Pet feature unlocks naturally as you progress through the main story. You'll get access to it during Act 1, Episode 22: "Information From the Hunter."
Act 0 / Act 1 WalkthroughFour Types of Pets

You'll find four types of Pets to help you on your journey: Gliding, Summoning, Riding, and Flying. These companions are a huge help for exploring, letting you travel across the ground much faster or even take to the skies.
How to Get Pets
Obtain Through the Story

| Gliding | Handmade Glider |
|---|---|
| Riding | Spring Picnic Hawk |
You can earn certain Pets simply by playing through the main story, such as the "Handmade Glider" (Gliding) and the "Spring Picnic Hawk" (Riding).
Capture Using Potion of Charm

The Region Quest "How to Make Friends" teaches you how to craft and use the Potion of Charm, which lets you turn specific enemies into your own Pets. This is the main way you'll be collecting most of your companions, so be sure to complete this quest.
Location of the Region Quest

You can pick up the "How to Make Friends" Region Quest from Ashu, found just north of the "Werebear Camp" Warp Point, no matter where you are in the story. Once you accept it, just open your menu, go to "Quests," and select "Start Tracking" to easily follow your next steps.
Special Codex Achievement Rewards

You can also earn Pets as rewards for completing a set number of Special Codex entries. Since this involves registering Heroes and Weapons from your Draws, it's best to treat these particular Pets as a nice bonus you'll unlock over time.
Exchange Loyalty at the Shop

You can exchange "Loyalty," earned by purchasing paid packs, for various Pets at the in-game Shop. Keep in mind that Loyalty can be traded for plenty of other valuable items, so weigh your options carefully before making an exchange.
Tips to Capture Pets
- Check the Enemies Beforehand
- Set Potion of Charm to Your Shortcut
- Attack to Reduce Enemy HP
- Use Higher-Tier Potions for Low Capture Rates
Check the Enemies Beforehand

You can check which enemies can become pets in the Special Codex under the "Pet" tab. Since only specific monsters are eligible, it is always a good idea to verify it.
Set Potion of Charm to Your Quick Slot

Assign your Potion of Charm to a Quick Slot for quick access in the field. Just select the item in your bag and tap "Select" to bind it to your Quick Slot menu.
Purple Marks Indicate Pet Candidates

While you are holding a Potion of Charm, a purple mark will appear above the heads of capturable enemies. To avoid wasting your items, only throw potions at monsters displaying this mark.
Attack to Reduce Enemy HP

Monsters are much harder to catch at full health, so you will need to lower their HP first. Just be careful not to completely defeat them, or you will lose your chance to capture them!
Wait for Them to Stop Moving

Make sure to throw your Potion of Charm when it is guaranteed to hit. The best time to aim is right after the enemy attacks, while they are temporarily standing still.
Use Higher-Tier Potions for Low Capture Rates

If the capture rate shown after using a Faint Potion of Charm is too low, switch to a high-tier version like the High-purity Potion of Charm or Concentrated Potion of Charm. Keep in mind that some rare pets will show a 0% capture rate with faint potions and absolutely require a higher-tier potion to catch.
