About Elements
There Are 8 Types of Elements

In The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin, there are eight Elements, including Fire and Wind. Elements are essential for combat and exploration, enabling you to exploit enemy Weaknesses and interact with the environment.

Same Element Attack Triggers a Burst

Continuously attacking with the same Element fills the Burst Gauge. Once full, an Elemental Burst is triggered. For example, a Fire Burst deals extra damage, while a Cold Burst can freeze enemies. Activating Bursts provides a major advantage in combat.
Burst Effects by Element
| Element | Burst Effect |
|---|---|
Earth | Grants a Barrier to yourself. Each attack on an enemy in Burst state increases your damage, stacking up to 5 times. |
Lightning | Attacking an enemy in Burst state causes the damage to spread to nearby enemies. |
Wind | When Burst activates, it generates an air current that damages enemies and launches them into the air for a short duration. |
Fire | Attacking an enemy in Burst state deals additional damage. |
Cold | Attacking an enemy in Burst state with the Cold Element applies the Chill debuff. When 10 Chill stacks accumulate, the enemy becomes Frozen. Hitting a Frozen enemy breaks the Freeze and deals significant additional damage. |
Darkness | Enemies in Burst state have reduced Darkness Defense. |
Holy | There is no separate Burst Gauge for Holy or Physical Elements. When a Holy or Physical Hero attacks while another Element’s Burst Gauge is active, their attacks continue to fill the existing Element's gauge. |

A Hero’s Element Changes with Their Weapon

A Hero's Element is not fixed and changes depending on their equipped main Weapon. When facing bosses, choose your Weapon carefully.

When attacking with a Weakness Element, an "↑ Up Arrow" appears next to the damage numbers. Since this increases damage dealt, include an Attacker matching the boss's Weakness Element in your team for boss fights.

Match Elements to Trigger Burst in Combat

If you attack with a different Element while the Burst Gauge is filling, the gauge shifts to the new Element and decreases. Frequent Element switching delays Burst activation, so it’s best to form a team with Heroes of the same Element during combat.
Spread Elements During Exploration

When exploring, it's recommended to diversify the Elements in your team to interact with environmental features. In the early stages, many puzzles respond to Fire and Wind, so including Heroes like Tristan and Howzer is beneficial.
