How to Cook
- Raise your Book of Stars Level to 3
- Go to a Campfire
- Decide on the Ingredients and Cook

Cooking is unlocked at Book of Stars Level 3. First, proceed with the main story to raise your Book of Stars level.

You need a Campfire to cook. You can craft and place a Campfire at a workbench or use the ones located in front of a house or food merchant. Since a Campfire is consumable and requires Flint to ignite, it is recommended to use the shop-front Campfire in the early game when materials are limited.

The number of ingredients you can use in a dish depends on the type of Campfire. Using more ingredients creates more powerful items, so aim to craft higher-quality Campfires.
| Type of Campfire | Number of Ingredients |
| Campfire | 2 |
| Makeshift Brazier | 4 |
| Cooking Shop Campfire | 4 |

The result of cooking varies based on the ingredient combination used. Gather ingredients from the map or purchase them from vendors, then experiment with different recipes.

For dishes with unlocked recipes, you can skip manual ingredient selection and craft them directly. This saves time and allows you to bulk craft based on available ingredients. Recipes are obtained by repeatedly cooking the same dish, though it is still unclear whether they can also be purchased from shops or obtained through side quests.
Cook Freely at the Cooking Shop

In each town, a permanent Campfire is located in front of the Cooking Shop. It remains lit at all times and allows cooking with up to four ingredients. This eliminates the need to craft a Campfire or Makeshift Brazier and removes the requirement to relight the fire.
Benefits of Cooking
Craft Recovery Items with Buffs

Cooking allows you to create recovery items with buff effects by combining ingredients. These items can boost stats such as Attack and Defense, making boss encounters easier when used in advance.
Get Rewards for Completing Achievements

Cooking also contributes to the Collection Achievement "Master Chef." Each achievement rewards 20 Star Memory, so it is recommended to make steady progress each day.
| "Master Chef" Completion Conditions |
| 1. Use 1 ingredient to make Simple Dishes *10 times |
| 2. Use 2 ingredients to make Normal Dishes *5 times |
| 3. Use 3 ingredients to make Fine Dishes *1 time |
*The required quantity increases with each 'Master Chef' achievement cleared.
You Can Feed Scraps to Hawk

Scraps obtained from failed cooking attempts can be fed to Hawk while riding him. Their description states, "Grants a random effect," and upon consumption, the message "Unknown power is coursing through me" is displayed. However, the exact effects are currently under investigation.
