Replace Unnecessary Cards

Pokemon Communication allows you to return 1 Pokemon from your hand to the deck and draw 1 Pokemon from the deck into your hand. While this results in a loss of 1 card from your hand, it is a highly effective card for converting unnecessary cards into others.

Especially Effective in Stage 2 Decks

Since the card added to your hand is chosen from cards other than the one returned to the deck, this makes changing a duplicate Evolve card into another card a strong move.

Additionally, when there are no more Basic Pokemon in your deck, returning a Basic Pokemon from your hand with Pokemon Communication can activate Poke Ball, which is a clever use of the card.
