What Happens if You Run Out of Cards

You Do Not Lose the Game

Unlike the physical Pokemon card game, in Pokemon TCGP, when your deck reaches 0 cards the above alert will appear but the game continues even if you can no longer draw from the deck.

Using Mill Deck Wont Work

Since the game continues even if you deck out, the milling strategy does not work in Pokemon TCGP. Even with a deck that heals large amounts of HP for durability, you will still need to win by either taking 3 points first or by eliminating all of your opponent’s Pokemon.

Drawing Cards Gives an Advantage

Since there is no victory by milling out, the more cards you draw, the more advantage you gain. Therefore, cards like Professor's Research and other Draw Engine cards become very useful. However, you can only hold a maximum of 10 cards in your hand, and once you have 10, you will no longer be able to draw additional cards.
