Burned Effects

Take 20 Damage at Pokemon Checkup

Burn is one of the special conditions. Burned Pokemon takes 20 damage at every Pokemon Checkup.

What Happens When Pokemon is Burned

1Pokemon is Burned during the opponent's turn.
2Turn ends.
3Burned Pokemon takes 20 damage during the Pokemon Checkup. The player whose Pokemon is Burned flips a coin.
4Burned Pokemon will recover when you get Heads or stay burned if you get Tails.
5Next turn begins.

You Can Attack or Retreat

Even if a Pokemon gets burned, that Pokemon can still Attack or Retreat.

Overlaps With Other Special Conditions

Burned overlaps with all other special conditions, which are Poisoned, Asleep, Paralyzed, and Confused.

How to Treat Burn Effects

  1. Get Heads From Coin Toss
  2. Burned Pokemon Leaves Active Spot
  3. Burned Pokemon Evolves
  4. Cards With Healing Effects Are Not Yet Implemented

Get Heads From Coin Toss

During the Pokemon Checkup, the player of the burned Pokemon is prompted to flip a coin. If it lands on heads, the Pokemon recovers from the burn, however if it lands on tails, the burned status remains.

Burned Pokemon Leaves Active Spot

Burned Pokemon can also recover by retreating from the Active Spot and returning to the Bench.

Burned Pokemon Evolves

Burned Pokemon can also recover from burns by evolving.

Cards With Healing Effects Are Not Yet Implemented

As of now, there are no cards that can cure special conditions. They might be implemented in the future, so stay tuned for any updates.
