Burned Effects

Take 20 Damage at Pokemon Checkup

Burn is one of the special conditions. Burned Pokemon takes 20 damage at every Pokemon Checkup.

What Happens When Pokemon is Burned

1	Pokemon is Burned during the opponent's turn.
2	Turn ends.
3	Burned Pokemon takes 20 damage during the Pokemon Checkup. The player whose Pokemon is Burned flips a coin.
4	Burned Pokemon will recover when you get Heads or stay burned if you get Tails.
5	Next turn begins.

You Can Attack or Retreat

Even if a Pokemon gets burned, that Pokemon can still Attack or Retreat.

How to Retreat

Overlaps With Other Special Conditions

Burned overlaps with all other special conditions, which are Poisoned, Asleep, Paralyzed, and Confused.

Get Heads From Coin Toss

During the Pokemon Checkup, the player of the burned Pokemon is prompted to flip a coin. If it lands on heads, the Pokemon recovers from the burn, however if it lands on tails, the burned status remains.

Burned Pokemon can also recover by retreating from the Active Spot and returning to the Bench.
