Asleep can overlap with Poisoned and Burned. However, if a Pokemon is inflicted with "Paralyzed" or "Confused," only the newly inflicted special condition remains.

How to Cure Asleep

  1. Get Heads During a Pokemon Checkup
  2. Recover by Leaving the Active Spot
  3. Recovers When Pokemon Evolves
  4. Cards with Curing Effects are Not Yet Implemented

Get Heads During a Pokemon Checkup

Pokemon Check Asleep

During the Pokemon Checkup, the player with the Sleeping Pokemon flips a coin; if it lands on heads, the Asleep condition is cured. If it lands on tails, the Asleep condition remains.

Recover by Leaving the Active Spot

A sleeping Pokemon cannot retreat, but it can recover from Asleep if it moves from the Active Spot to the Bench using an Ability or Trainer card.

Recovers When Pokemon Evolves

A sleeping Pokemon can also recover from asleep by evolving.

Cards with Curing Effects are Not Yet Implemented

At this time, no cards that can recover from special conditions have been implemented. They may be added in the future.
