Torterra Deck - Pros / Cons

  1. Torterra's consistent 150 damage is powerful
  2. Include a Pokemon that can act early on
  3. Deck is not very consistent

Torterra's Consistent 150 Damage is Powerful

The strength of the Torterra deck lies in the main Pokemon, Torterra, being able to consistently deal 150 damage. This is enough to knock out most Pokemon ex with a one-hit KO, allowing you to focus on setting up for a checkmate once you've already taken one point.

Include a Pokemon that Can Act Early On

Torterra is a Stage 2 Pokemon that requires a lot of Energy to attack, meaning it typically only becomes effective in the latter part of the game. As a result, it's necessary to include a Pokemon like Exeggutor ex that can act early and provide strong support in the beginning.

Deck is Not Very Consistent

The fact that Torterra cannot repeatedly deal 150 damage due to its attack effect is a significant issue. It's challenging to aim for a "wall Pokemon to stall and main attacker to secure 3 points" setup. As a result, the deck is generally quite difficult to handle.
