Dialga ex Deck - Pros / Cons

  1. Dialga ex's Energy Acceleration is powerful
  2. Mew ex can counter large attackers
  3. Can't act until 2 Energy is attached, which is a downside

Dialga ex's Energy Acceleration is Powerful

The Dialga ex deck revolves around using Dialga ex's attack to perform Energy Acceleration to the Bench Pokemon while fighting. Since Energy can be attached to the Bench via the Attack effect, it becomes easier to continue attaching Energy to Dialga ex itself and aim for 4 Energy.

Powerful when Swapping to Dialga ex with Dawn

Dialga ex can't perform Energy Acceleration on its own, but by using Dawn, Energy attached to the Bench can be transferred to Dialga ex. If everything goes smoothly, it is possible to use the bottom attack in the next turn after using the first attack.

Mew ex Can Counter Large Attackers

In this deck, we've included Mew ex as a partner for Dialga ex. Against opponents with lower HP, Dialga ex will fight, while Mew ex's Genome Hacking can turn the tables against Pokemon like Mewtwo ex, which would otherwise defeat Dialga ex outright.

Can't Act Until 2 Energy is Attached

The downside of Dialga ex is that it can't act until 2 Energy is attached. If it is attacked continuously in the early game, the chances to use the first Attack decrease. Try to reduce early damage as much as possible with Mew ex + Budding Expeditioner or Rocky Helmet.

Dialga ex Deck Strategy

  1. Use Dialga ex as your Main Pokemon
  2. Instead use Mew ex depending on opponent
Use Dialga ex as your Main Pokemon
  1. Dialga ex

You will be using Dialga ex as your main Pokemon in this Deck. Attach all Energy from the Energy Zone to Dialga ex and use "Metalllic Turbo" for Energy Acceleration to attach Energy to Dialga ex in the Bench or Mew ex.

Dawn can Move Energy
  1. Dawn

By using Dawn, you can move Energy you attached to Dialga ex in the Bench to the one in the active spot. This will also make it possible for Dialga ex to use the second attack right after the turn you used the first attack.

Instead use Mew ex Depending on Opponent
  1. Mew ex

You will basically be using Dialga ex in this deck, but if you are going against Pokemon with high damage output like Mewtwo ex or Charizard ex, use Mew ex's Genome Hacking to counter them.

Use Budding Expeditioner to Protect Mew ex
  1. Budding Expeditioner

If Mew ex's HP gets low, use Budding Expeditioner to bring Mew ex back and avoid losing a point. You can use it to replace Mew ex with another Pokemon in your Bench.
