Blaine Deck - Pros / Cons

  1. Attack Has Good Cost-effectiveness and Can Attack From the Start
  2. Blaine's Damage Increase Effect is Strong
  3. Overall HP is Low and Durability is Poor

Attack Has Good Cost-effectiveness and Can Attack From the Start

  1. Farfetch
  2. Rapidash
  3. Ninetales

This deck is made up of only Pokemon that require 2 or less Energy to attack, so you can attack hard from the beginning. Another strength is that even if the Active Spot's Pokemon is knocked out, it is easy to prepare the next attacker immediately.

Blaine's Damage Increase Effect is Strong

  1. Blaine
  2. Rapidash attack Blaine

Blaine can temporarily increase the attack damage of Ninetales and Rapidash. It is especially powerful when combined with Ninetales and can compete with high HP Pokemon, such as an EX Pokemon.

Overall HP is Low and Durability is Poor

Since there are only non-EX Pokemon, the overall HP is low and lacks durability. Even including Evolve Pokemon, there are no Pokemon that can withstand more than 100 damage, so if you are repeatedly hit with high-powered attacks, things tend to get tough.

Blaine Deck Strategy

  1. Start with Farfetch'd or Rapidash in the early game
  2. Prepare Ninetales on the Bench
  3. Use Blaine at a finishing moment
Start with Farfetch'd or Rapidash in the Early Game
  1. Farfetch
  2. Rapidash

In the early game, battle with Pokemon like Farfetch'd or Rapidash, whose attacks require only 1 Energy to deal 40 damage. If your opponent's Pokemon are Basic and unevolved, you may have an opportunity to score a Knock Out from the start.

Prepare Ninetales on the Bench
  1. Vulpix
  2. Ninetales

When you draw Vulpix, place it on the Bench and evolve it into Ninetales. Ninetales can deal 90 damage, making it effective against Pokemon that Farfetch'd or Rapidash cannot defeat.

Use Blaine at a Finishing Moment
  1. Blaine

It’s best to use Blaine at the right moment to finish off an opponent's Pokemon. When used with Ninetales, Blaine can increase its damage to 120, allowing it to compete with high-HP Pokemon such as Pokemon-ex.
