How to Use Blaine

Use When You Can Defeat Your Opponent.

To maximize Blaine's effect, it is important to use it when you know you can Knock Out opponent's Pokemon. Try to lure or bait the opponent's attacker to the Active Spot early and Knock Out before the enemy starts attacking.

Blaine Pros and Cons

Valuable Damage Boost Effect

Blaine’s effect allows your Ninetales, Rapidash, and Magmar to deal an additional 30 damage with their Attacks.

Enables Easier Knock Outs

With Blaine, Ninetales can deal 120 damage, Rapidash 70 damage, and Magmar 80 damage. This increase makes it much easier to Knock Out many opponents with a single hit.

Less Versatile Than Giovanni but With a Higher Boost

Giovanni, another Supporter that boosts damage, provides a +10 damage increase for any Pokemon. Although Blaine is less versatile than Giovanni, his higher damage increase can be especially effective in specific decks.
