How to Get Tyranitar

Get it from Triumphant Light Booster Pack
- Redeemable for 150 Pack Points

You can obtain Tyranitar from the booster pack Triumphant Light. Alternatively, it can be exchanged for 150 Pack Points.

How to Use Tyranitar

Exceptionally High Damage Output

Tyranitar's attack deals 130 damage for 4 Energy, which is fairly efficient, and with Arceus, it gets boosted to 160 damage. It boasts extremely high damage as a Single-Prize Pokemon.

Hard to Play Without Support

A similar Pokemon, Rhyperior, has struggled to perform well in past metas.

While 160 damage is very appealing, the reliance on Arceus makes it even harder to set up. Without additional support cards in the format, Tyranitar may struggle to shine.

Tyranitar Pros and Cons

High Damage Stage 2 Pokemon

Tyranitar has 160 HP and can deal 160 damage with its Attack, including its Ability, using 4 Energy. It can One-Hit KO many Pokemon while surviving at least one hit itself, making it a game-winning card once fully set up.

Slow to Set Up

As a Stage 2 Pokemon requiring 4 Energy for its Attack, Tyranitar takes time to develop. Its pre-evolution forms are relatively weak, so you'll need strategies to buy time until it reaches full strength.
