How to Enhance Characters

Leveling Up

Level Up

You can increase a character's stats by leveling them up. Since the benefits of enhancement are significant, prioritize leveling up the characters you actively use to their maximum level first.

How to Obtain Reinforcement Materials

Training

The main way to obtain reinforcement materials, including level-up items, is through "Training." The higher the difficulty, the greater the rewards, so it's recommended to farm the highest difficulty you can consistently clear.

Level Limit Break

Level Limit Break

Performing a Cap Break or Limit Break allows a character to exceed their current level cap. Each Cap Break also boosts their stats, and at levels 40, 60, and 80, new Passive Skills will be unlocked.

Spec-Ops Rank Required for Each Level Tier

High-level Limit Breaks require a certain Special-Ops Rank as a prerequisite. If you can no longer perform a Level Limit Break, increase your Player rank and take on the Promotion Exam.

Skill Leveling

Level Break

Enhancing a character's skills increases the power of their attacks and the effectiveness of their buffs. Fully reinforced skills can be nearly twice as effective, making skill enhancement the next recommended step after leveling up.

5 Types of Skills Can Be Enhanced

There are five types of character skills that can be enhanced. Since leveling up all of them requires many materials, prioritize enhancing Passive Skills and Combat Skills, as they provide the greatest benefits.

Ascension

Ascend

Kaiju No. 8 also has a character Ascension system. The Ascension lets you unlock new abilities and perform Skill Enhancements. You can progress Ascension by obtaining multiple copies of the same character.

Tips!Ascension doesn't require any additional materials, so you can ascend a character as soon as you obtain a duplicate.

How to Enhance Weapons

Leveling Up

Leveling Up Weapon

Like characters, weapons can be leveled up using enhancement materials. While the benefits aren't as significant as with characters, leveling up weapons still boosts their stats.

Level Limit Break

Level Limit Break Weapon

Like characters, weapons require a Cap Break at certain level intervals. High-level Cap Breaks also require a specific Spec-Ops Rank.

Ascension

Ascension For Weapon

Using duplicate weapons allows you to ascend them and enhance their skills. However, unlike characters, you can equip multiple weapons of the same type in your squad, so consider carefully before ascending.

How to Ascend Weapons

No Weapon Skill Enhancement

Unlike characters, weapons cannot directly undergo Skill Enhancement. To improve a weapon's skill performance, you must do so through Ascension.

Can Enhance Weapons from Storage

You can easily switch between weapons and enhance them through Storage. To do this, press the 'Menu' button at the top-right of the home screen and select 'Storage.' In the Weapon tab, choose the weapon you want to level up, then press 'Enhance' at the bottom-right.

Uniparts Farming

Equipment to Enhance Characters

Uniparts

Uniparts are equipment that enhance characters, and there are three types: arms, body, and legs. Equipping a complete set activates a set effect, which becomes stronger as the parts' star rating increases.

Uniparts List and Guide

Individual Parts Also Have Random Stats

In addition to set effects, each Unipart also provides individual stats. These stats are randomly assigned, so you can farm and develop parts repeatedly to obtain the desired stats.

Uniparts Cannot Be Reused

Uniparts Keep 1

Uniparts are tied to specific characters, and once equipped, they cannot be removed. Any unequipped parts from new developments will be discarded, so they cannot be reused on other characters.
