Introduction
| Keiji Itami is calm and composed by nature, serving as a reliable presence who offsets the impulsive, action-driven tendencies of Isao Shinomiya. Though he typically avoids leadership roles, he accepted the position of Vice-Commander at Shinomiya's earnest request. After Shinomiya was absorbed by Kaiju No. 9 and died in the line of duty, Itami assumed the role of Director General of the Japan Defense Force. |
