The recommended Gacha in Kaiju No. 8 are the Haruichi Izumo (Calculated Choice) and Aoi Kaguragi (Fruits of Diligence) Pickup banners. Haruichi is a Support who excels at enhancing Battle Buddies and is a valuable limited character, while Aoi is a Defender who improves allies' durability and damage, making both excellent targets.

Pickup Gacha Recommendations

Support Allies' Durability and Damage

Aoi Kaguragi (Fruits of Diligence) is a Defender who protects allies with Shields and reduces DMG Taken. Additionally, by applying the Wound effect to enemies, he increases their DMG Taken and boosts the DMG dealt by allies attacking Wounded Kaiju, contributing significantly to overall team damage. With his strong stats and utility, he is a highly desirable unit.

Protects Allies with Shields and More

Aoi Kaguragi (Fruits of Diligence) is a 5★ Blunt Defender. When using his Combat Skill or when his Unyielding buff reaches maximum stacks, he grants a Shield to all allies and provides DMG Taken Reduction to shielded allies. His Additional Passive Skill also increases her likelihood of being targeted by Kaiju, allowing him to protect the team effectively.

Applies Wound that Boosts Allies' Damage

The "Wound" inflicted on a single enemy through his Ultimate applies increased DMG Taken, additional DMG Taken when Core Exposed, and boosts the DMG dealt by allies attacking Wounded enemies, making him a strong offensive support unit.

Unyielding Buffs Normal Attack & Shields

His Unyielding buff stacks up to 15 times. Upon reaching maximum stacks, his Normal Attack DMG Multiplier increases, and he grants a Shield to all allies, similar to his Combat Skill. After activation, all stacks are consumed. Unyielding stacks are gained through Combat Skill usage, ally PLT Breaks, and attacks on Core Exposed enemies.

Battle Buddy Buffer

Haruichi Izumo (Calculated Choice) is a Support who excels at buffing his Battle Buddy. He provides multiple damage buffs, such as SPD + CRIT DMG UP for a single ally and All Attribute DMG Dealt UP for his Battle Buddy. He can also increase his own CRIT DMG and gain SP+1 by applying or consuming the Clarity buff. As a powerful Support and a valuable limited character, he is a top priority pull.

Shot Support for Battle Buddy Buffs

Haruichi Izumo is a 5-Star Shot Element Support whose Ultimate lets him perform an AoE Attack with 100% CRIT Rate. He provides both damage and SPD buffs, making him highly effective at enhancing his Battle Buddy.

Provides SPD and Damage Buffs

With his Combat Skill, Haruichi can grant a single ally buffs such as Combat Skill DMG dealt UP, SPD increase, and CRIT DMG UP through True Potential, allowing him to consistently support allies with both speed and damage boosts.

Best Paired With an Attacker

Haruichi excels at supporting his Battle Buddy. In addition to his core buffs, he can increase ATK and ST Attack/Blast Attack DMG dealt after using his Combat Skill, and further boost All Attribute DMG Dealt through Assistance at the start of battle or with his Ultimate. Because of this, he is best paired with an Attacker when building your squad.

True Potential Scales With His CRIT DMG

"True Potential" increases the target’s CRIT DMG based on Haruichi’s own CRIT DMG, so building his CRIT DMG is important. With "Clarity," which he gains when he or his Battle Buddy uses a Combat Skill, he can boost his own CRIT DMG, and upon reaching 3 stacks, consume them to gain SP+1.

Can Pull Past 5-Star Characters and Weapons

In the Kaiju No. 8, Sagan, and Hoshina Pick-Up Gachas, you can pull for some of the 5-Star characters/weapons that have been featured in past Pick-Up Gachas. Among these, Kikoru (Evolving Talent), Soshiro (Ax Technique Proficiency), Kikoru (Full-Power Christmas), Soshiro (United Front), and Chester are considered a huge win if you get them as an off-banner pull.
