Rin and Gen Are Recommended
The recommended Gacha in Kaiju No. 8 features Rin (Cross-Forged Refinement) and Gen (Sky-Piercing Bolt), both of whom are currently available on Pickup. Rin is a powerful Attacker with self-buffs and additional damage, while Gen is an outstanding Defender and a valuable limited character, making both excellent targets to aim for.

Rin Shinonome (Cross-Forged Refinement) is a Shot/Fire Attacker capable of dealing both AoE and ST damage. She can also trigger Additional DMG through her kit. Her Passive Skill alternates between the "Fury" and "Pride" states, allowing her to gain offensive buffs during "Fury" and recover SP while in "Pride".
Dual-Attribute AoE and ST Attacker
Rin Shinonome (Cross-Forged Refinement) is a 5★ Shot/Fire Attribute Attacker. Her Combat Skill deals dual-Attribute AoE damage with additional damage effects, while her Ultimate delivers dual-Attribute single-target damage along with additional damage.
Boost Her Damage Output with Fury
At the start of battle and before using her Ultimate, Rin enters the Fury state, increasing her own ATK and Shot Attribute DMG dealt while granting Shot Attribute additional damage after activating a Combat Skill. In addition, her Additional Passive Skill grants ATK +30% during Fury, and she can further increase her own CRIT DMG before activating a Combat Skill.

Chester Lochburn is a 5-star Shot Support who provides powerful offensive buffs for the entire team. He can grant multiple buffs, including CRIT Rate and DMG dealt increases, while also boosting the ATK of all allies except himself. His Ultimate can advance the Action Order of all allies and grants the "Field Ops" buff, causing enemies to take Additional Shot DMG based on the attacker's ATK whenever an ally attacks.
Boosts Ally Damage
Chester excels at supporting allies with multiple buffs. He raises CRIT Rate and DMG dealt for the entire team, and with his Wit and Courage buff, he boosts ATK for all allies except himself.
Manage Wit and Courage Duration
The Wit and Courage buff lasts 3 turns, but its duration decreases by 1 at the start of Chester’s turn. Keep an eye on the timer and use his Combat Skill to maintain the ATK boost.
Provides Additional DMG Effects
Using Chester’s Combat Skill or Ultimate grants a Field Ops buff to all allies except himself. While active, this buff enables Shot Element Additional DMG on attacks.

Gen Narumi (Sky-Piercing Bolt) is a Slash/Lightning Defender capable of multi-target attacks. He can grant Shields to allies based on his Max HP, provide DMG Taken Reduction to all allies except himself, greatly increase his own chance of being targeted by Kaiju, and gain Evasion Rate +100% to strengthen the team's survivability. He also deals Additional DMG, can apply Additional DMG buffs to allies, and boosts damage through CRIT DMG UP. As both an excellent Defender and a valuable limited character, he is highly recommended as a pull target.
Dual-Attribute Defender with Multi-Target Attacks
Gen Narumi (Sky-Piercing Bolt) is a 5★ Slash/Lightning Defender. His Ultimate unleashes a dual-attribute AoE Attack, while his Enhanced Normal Attack, available during the "Prestige" state, delivers a dual-attribute Blast Attack.

Protect Allies with Shields & DMG Reduction
Through his Combat Skill, he can grant all allies a Shield based on his Max HP and apply DMG Taken Reduction to all allies except himself, greatly improving team survivability. In addition, the "Prestige" effect he grants himself significantly increases his chance of being targeted by Kaiju, while "Sass" can grant Evasion Rate +100%.
Three Effects Activated by "Prestige"
The "Prestige" effect applied through his Combat Skill provides three benefits, allowing him to increase all allies' CRIT DMG, transform his Normal Attack into an Enhanced Normal Attack, and greatly increase his chance of being targeted by Kaiju.
Three Effects Activated by "Sass"
After using an Enhanced Normal Attack or Ultimate, he gains 1 stack of "Sass", up to a maximum of 3 stacks. Once max stacks are reached, three effects are activated, granting Evasion Rate +100%, increasing his Additional DMG Multiplier, and increasing the CRIT Rate of Additional DMG for all allies. All "Sass" stacks are then consumed.
Additional DMG and Additional DMG Buffs
After activating an Enhanced Normal Attack or Ultimate, he grants himself Lightning Additional DMG based on his HP. While in the Prestige state, he can also increase CRIT DMG for all allies and boost Additional DMG dealt by all allies by 40%, while also increasing his own Additional DMG Multiplier through Sass and raising allies' Additional DMG CRIT Rate, making him an excellent enabler for Additional DMG-focused teams.
