Best Pulls Are Rin and Gen
The best reroll targets in Kaiju No. 8 are Rin Shinonome (Cross-Forged Refinement) and Gen (Sky-Piercing Bolt), both of whom are currently featured on Pickup banners. Rin is a powerful Attacker with self-buffs and additional damage, while Gen is an exceptional Defender and a rare limited character, making either one an excellent reroll target.
Other Strong Characters Are Hard to Get
Soichiro Hoshina, Aoi Kaguragi (Fruits of Diligence), and Hoshina (New Possibilities) are all top-tier characters. However, their drop rates are only 0.100% in the Rin Gacha and 0.105% in the Gen/Chester Gacha, making them extremely difficult to target through rerolling. While they are among the strongest units available, their weapons are also difficult to obtain, making it harder to fully maximize their potential. As a result, they are ranked one tier lower for reroll purposes.

You can safely stop rerolling once you obtain either Rin or Gen from the current Pickup Gacha. Rin offers dual-Attribute attacks, self-buffs, and additional damage, while Gen is a limited character who strengthens both team durability and offensive power, making either one a strong starting point for your account.

Clear up to Chapter 0, Episode 3
After the cutscene, a battle begins. Follow the tutorial instructions to progress and clear up to Episode 0‑3.
Play the Gacha & Squad Setup Tutorial
After clearing 0‑3, the Gacha and Squad Setup tutorial starts. You will receive a 4★ Soshiro Hoshina after completing the Gacha tutorial.
Return to the Home screen
Ignore the 'Deploy' prompt and tap the top-left button on the Squad Setup screen to return Home.
Claim Tickets from Mail and Login Bonus
After returning to the home screen, claim the 1 Pickup Gacha Ticket from Main Story Chapter 12 Release Celebration, then return to the home screen once more. Afterward, open your mailbox from the top-right corner, tap "Claim All," and collect all available rewards.
Go to Gacha and Pull
Once all rewards have been collected, head to the Gacha menu and perform one 10-pull on either the Rin or Gen Pickup Gacha along with the THE GAME Gacha. Afterward, use your remaining Dimensional Crystals and Pickup Gacha Tickets on whichever Pickup banner you prefer.
To Reroll Again, Delete Your Account
If you want to continue rerolling, return to the title screen, select the menu, and choose 'Delete Account'. After tapping OK, press 'Agree and Delete' on the screen that appears to complete the account deletion.
Repeat Rerolling Until You Get Your Target
Keep rerolling until you get the character you want. When finished, be sure to Link Your Account.
