How to Destroy Enemy Plates
Attack With the Same Attributes

Each Kaiju has its own plates, which can be destroyed by attacking with the same attribute. Those plates act as their break gauge and destroying them will trigger "Core Exposed", which gives out an advantage in battle.
Some Characters Deals Multiple Attributes
Characters like Gen Narumi, who can deplete two attributes at once, are good at breaking plates. The gameplay revolves around how quickly you can trigger Core Exposed, so characters who can deplete multiple plates are valuable as excellent attribute breakers.
Types of Enemy Plates (Weakness)

Enemy weaknesses are divided into Physical and Elemental Plates. For you to trigger "Core Exposed," you need to break their physical plates.
There Are Plates That Is Destroyed by All Attributes

"Common Plates" also exists, which can be destroy by any attributes. This weakness makes it easier for players to destroy plates.
How to Check Enemy Plates
Check From the Stage Details

You can check the enemy's Plates from the enemy list in the Stage Details.
Check the Display Above the Enemy

In a stage, the icons displayed above the enemy are their Plates. The Plates that are glowing during a character's turn can be broken by using the selected attack with that character.
Effects of Core Exposed
Details of Core Exposed Explained
- Increases enemy damage taken
- Activates ally Follow-Up Attacks
- Delays the enemy's action
Increases Enemy Damage Taken
Core Exposed Kaiju takes more damage than normal. Since the damage increases by 1.5x, this is the best time to use your Ultimate attack, especially against stronger enemies, like higher-level enemies and bosses
Note! | The attack done during the Core Exposed still does not deal increased damage. It is best to use your Ultimate after your teammate releases the follow-up attack. |
Activates Ally Follow-Up Skills

When you break all of an enemy's Plates and cause Core Exposed, the partner of the character who caused it will activate a Follow-Up Skill. Since the attack's damage depends on the character's ATK stat, you should aim to cause Core Exposed with the main Striker's partner as much as possible.
Follow-Up Also Fill the Ultimate Gauge
Follow-Up Skills can also fill the Ultimate Gauge, so you'll want to attack weaknesses with the partner of the main Striker whose Ultimate you want to activate.
Delays the Enemy's Action

Causing Core Exposed will delay the enemy's turn order. By causing Core Exposed before a powerful attack, you can buy yourself some time.
Can Also Reduce the Enemy's Ultimate Gauge
It can reduce the enemy's Ultimate Gauge, so it can be used as an emergency evasive measure.
