Isao stands out as the only Defender among all of the 5-star characters in the game. If you can upgrade him, he can play an active role as your defensive cornerstone to protect your squad.
Grants Shields with His Combat Skill
Isao can grant a Shield to allies. While he doesn’t offer healing, he excels at preventing damage by shielding characters, before taking any hits.
Become Even Stronger by Maintaining the Shield
Each time an ally with a Shield is attacked, Isao's DEF increases. Furthermore, his own DEF also increases while he has a Shield. Instead of reapplying the Shield after it breaks, by playing in a way that the Shield doesn't break, you can grant a stronger barrier.
Boosts Team Firepower Too
Thanks to his Passive Skill, Isao grants a DMG Dealt buff to all allies, one for each teammate with a Shield. Keeping his shields intact doesn’t just protect your squad, it also gives them a damage boost.
Raises Ally Resistance
Isao’s Combat Skill also boosts Effect RES for allies. If enemies rely on status effects or debuffs, you can counter them by placing Isao at the heart of your formation.
