How to Raise Character Levels
You can raise a character's level via the Enhance screen by using Defense Force Manuals. Leveling up boosts their Stats.
1. Tap "Enhance" on the Character Screen
Tap the "Enhance" button located at the bottom right of the character details screen.
2. Select Defense Force Manuals to Enhance
Select the materials by tapping the Defense Force Manuals or simply tap "Auto-Select," then press "Enhance" to complete the process.
Unlock the Level Limit
Characters have a level cap, but you can raise this limit by performing a Level Limit Unlock. Furthermore, when you perform a Level Limit Unlock, their Stats will increase, and new Passive Skills will be unlocked when breaking the level cap at Lv. 40, Lv. 60, and Lv. 80.
How to Unlock the Level Limit
On the character enhancement screen, once a character has reached their current max level, tap "Limit Unlock" to consume materials and unlock the new cap.
Spec-Ops Rank Required at Set Levels
To unlock specific level caps, a certain Spec-Ops Rank is required. If you cannot perform a Level Limit Break, try raising your Player Rank and attempting the Promotion Exam.

The total experience required for each threshold is listed above. Leveling up requires a massive amount of EXP, so be sure to collect Defense Force Manuals from Training consistently. While reward drops are random, the estimates provided are based on average results from Difficulty 6.

How to Get Defense Force Manuals
Get from Training
Defense Force Manuals, the main level-up material, can be obtained from the "Defense Force Manual" Training. Since rewards increase with difficulty, farm the highest difficulty you can clear.
Other Ways to Obtain Defense Force Manuals
Defense Force Manuals can also be obtained from the Shop by exchanging Encounter Stones, Emblems of Defense, or Credits, as well as from the Defense Force Pass. Additionally, they may be available through Story quests, the Beginner's Guide, event rewards, and more.
