The Recon Drone is a remote controlled field upgrade. This allows you to manually maneuver it around the map to check for enemies in potentially dangerous areas.
Leaves You Vulnerable
Since it is a remote controlled device, the Recon Drone leaves you vulnerable once you deploy it. You will not be able to move your soldier while controlling the Recon Drone.
Can Be Shot Down By Enemies
The Recon Drone can be shot down by enemies. Try not to get too close to enemies when marking them to avoid putting the drone in danger.
Slow Recharge Time
Despite being a useful field upgrade, the recharge time for the Recon Drone is quite slow. This may restrict the drone's usage to the later parts of the game.

Recon Drones can be spotted by enemies if it gets too close. Try to stay as far as possible from enemies to avoid getting the drone shot down.
Use As A Decoy To Help Teammates Flank
If your drone gets noticed by enemies, you can use it as a decoy to help enemies flank. Keep on whizzing around to distract the enemy. Your teammates can then move in to flank while the enemy is preoccupied by your drone.

How To Unlock Field Upgrades
Leveling up your ranks in CoD: MW will unlock various field upgrades that you can use in various multiplayer modes! These include Perks, tactical and lethal equipment, weapons, & more!

Field Upgrade Pro is an unlockable feature which allows you to select a second Field Upgrade during a match. This feature is unlocked once you reach Rank 45.
