What is the New Chapter Event
Score Battles Unlock After Clearing Chapter 7

The New Chapter Event introduces Score Battles, where higher difficulties unlock as you progress through Chapter 7. By clearing event missions, you can earn Dimensional Crystals and other reinforcement materials.
New Chapter Event Unlock Conditions

To unlock the New Chapter Event and its difficulties, you must first progress through Main Story Chapter 7.

Normal

Use Isao Shinomiya to protect your team with shields while Rin, Akari, and Wang Meixing deal AoE/Blast attacks to expose enemies' cores and trigger Neutralization. Since enemies have Elemental Plates, add Plate-lowering characters like Reno or Sagan to your team.
Hard and Very Hard

This team lowers enemy Plates with Wang, Akari, and Gen while Isao shields your team. Other great additions include attackers like Reno or Hikari who lower multiple Plate types, Support Iharu for Lightning Plate reduction, and Defenders such as Kikoru (Christmas) and Akari (4-Star).

Utilize the Stage Effects
Stage Effects are active in Score Battle. These effects are highly compatible with Wang Meixing and Akari Minase (Festive Christmas), so we strongly recommend adding Wang Meixing and Akari (Christmas) to your squad.
Plates Differ by Difficulty

Since enemy Plates differ based on the difficulty, you should challenge them with an appropriate squad composition. In VERY HARD, you'll need to break Lightning Plates, so it's recommended to include Lightning Attribute users like Wang Meixing or Iharu Furuhashi in your squad.
Use Defenders Who Can Protect the Whole Team
In NORMAL, you'll face many enemies, and in HARD/VERY HARD, enemies use AoE Attacks and other multi-target attacks. Therefore, it is highly recommended to use Defenders who can protect the entire team with Shields or Recovery. Characters like Kikoru (Full-Power Christmas) with her Recovery & ATK buff, Isao Shinomiya who can also provide offensive support with his Shield & increased DMG effect, and 4-Star Akari with her Recovery are all excellent choices.

Tips for Normal
On Normal difficulty, you face 3–5 midsized and miniature enemies. Build a squad with multi-target attackers to Core Expose and Neutralize all enemies in one go. Use AoE or Blast Attacks, and prioritize units with Shot or Elemental attributes since foes here carry Shot and Elemental Plates.
Tips for Hard & Very Hard
Counter AoE Attacks With Shields and Recovery
Kaiju No. 6 unleashes powerful AoE Attacks. In Very Hard mode, these hits deal extreme damage; block them with Isao’s Shield or Christmas Kikoru’s Recovery skill to protect your team.
Reduce Plates and HP in Ultimate Preparation
When its HP gauge hits half, Kaiju No. 6 enters Ultimate Preparation stance. Plates break twice as fast here, so focus on breaking them to force the Core Exposed State.
| Tips! | Kaiju No. 6's Ultimate deals massive damage and also inflicts Freeze, so try to prevent it from being activated. |
Can Recover HP
During Blizzard’s turn, it recovers HP. Stop this by keeping it in Core Exposed State—no recovery happens there.
Inflicts Freeze and SPD Down
Kaiju No. 6 inflicts Freeze and SPD Down. Watch out for extra damage from Freeze and shifted turn order from SPD Down. Plan skills and defenses to counter these debuffs.

Best Score Rank Criteria

The scoring criteria for the New Chapter Event are as shown above, with points awarded based on three factors. Your score will range from S to C depending on the total points. Note that you earn no points if defeated.
Clear as Quickly as Possible
Since "number of rounds until victory" is a scoring factor, we recommend using high-damage Attackers to minimize rounds.
Reduce Damage Taken
Minimizing damage until victory is also key to a high score. Focus on delaying enemy turns and using Shields to reduce incoming damage.

Actively Aim for Core Exposed
Since the "Number of Core Exposed" is included in the scoring criteria, actively aim for Core Exposed. It is important to form a team that can break the enemy's Plates.

Get Unimaterial [Fungal-Type Kaiju β]
As a reward for completing event missions, you can get the Unimaterial "Fungal-Type Kaiju β," which was added on November 30 (PST).
Get a Weapon Component (4★)
Complete the Event Mission "Clear NORMAL with at least 1 Lightning-attribute character in the squad" to earn a Weapon Component (4★). This item is key for upgrading any 4★ weapon by one Ascension Stage. Make sure to claim it.
