What is the New Chapter Event
Score Battles Unlock After Clearing Chapter 5

The New Chapter Event introduces Score Battles, where higher difficulties unlock as you progress through Chapter 5. By clearing event missions, you can earn Dimensional Crystals and other reinforcement materials.

To unlock the New Chapter Event and its difficulties, you must first progress through Main Story Chapter 5.

Tips for NORMAL
Avoid Getting Poisoned in Wave 1
Wave 1 is a battle against 5x Phaneroplasmodium: Poison Subspecies (Miniature). Watch out for attacks that frequently inflict the "Poison" damage-over-time debuff. Draw the Kaijus' attention with Sagan’s Combat Skill, then use AoE or Blast Attacks to take them down efficiently.
Clear Wave 2 Quickly
Wave 2 features 2x Preondactyl. Use AoE and Blast Attacks to quickly chip away at their HP and advance to the next wave.
Prioritize the Midsized Kaiju in Wave 3
Wave 3 is against 1x Nephilingis (Midsized) and 2x Preondactyl. The Nephilingis has higher Stats than the miniature Kaiju, so focus on defeating it first.
Tips for HARD and VERY HARD
Plates Differ by Difficulty

In HARD and VERY HARD, you’ll fight "Dimensional Identified Kaiju A: Divided Entity". Its Plates vary by difficulty, so prepare a team that targets its weaker points.
| Tip! | VERY HARD has 6 Slash Plates, so bringing multiple Slash-type characters like Soshiro (United Front) is highly effective. |
Sagan Is Not Ideal Here
Kaiju A uses attacks that deal AoE or adjacent damage. Since Sagan cannot grant Shields to all allies, it’s difficult to earn a high score from the “damage taken reduction” bonus when using her.
Isao Shinomiya Is Recommended
Isao Shinomiya can grant a Shield to all allies with his Combat Skill, effectively protecting the team from Kaiju A’s AoE attacks. He also reduces Kaiju A’s Physical Plates with both his Normal Attacks and Ultimate, making him a strong Defender choice for HARD and VERY HARD.
| Tip! | Akari Minase is also a great option since she can provide teamwide Recovery support. |
Attacks Change with Form Change
Kaiju A changes form every turn, and one of the gauges next to its HP bar will light up. Each time it transforms, its appearance and attack patterns change. Once all 3 gauges are filled, it unleashes a powerful attack that deals heavy damage, so make sure to prepare for that phase.

Watch Out for the Skill That Nullifies One Attack
At the start of the battle and again when its HP drops below 50%, Kaiju A will use the skill "Charging Stance," which nullifies one incoming attack. While this effect is active, all attacks are nullified once, and its Plates cannot be lowered. When Kaiju A uses Charging Stance, hit it with a Normal Attack to remove the nullification before using stronger skills.

This setup lets you deal steady AoE damage with Mina, Gen, and Soshiro while Sagan draws enemy aggro using her Combat Skill. For Soshiro's slot, you can also use Soshiro (United Fron t), Kikoru (Guiding Light), or Rin.

The recommended formation for Kaiju A on HARD and VERY HARD is shown above. Isao acts as the team’s Defender, shielding the three Attackers. Level up his Combat Skill to 7 or higher to boost the Shield’s durability.

Best Score Rank Criteria

The scoring criteria for the New Chapter Event are as shown above, with points awarded based on three factors. Your score will range from S to C depending on the total points. Note that you earn no points if defeated.
Clear as Quickly as Possible
Since "number of rounds until victory" is a scoring factor, we recommend using high-damage Attackers to minimize rounds.
Reduce Damage Taken
Minimizing damage until victory is also key to a high score. Focus on delaying enemy turns and using Shields to reduce incoming damage.

Actively Aim for Core Exposed
Since the "Number of Core Exposed" is included in the scoring criteria, actively aim for Core Exposed. It is important to form a team that can break the enemy's Plates.
