CZN What Are Environment Variables?
Upgrades Are Active During Season
Environment Variables are upgrade elements added in an update, which provide enhancement effects during a Galactic Disaster. During this period, their effects are active in both Seasonal Chaos and the Codex.
Different From Upgrade
Environment Variables are a system similar to Upgrade, but they require different materials for upgrades. Use Chaos Architects for Upgrade, and Memory of Light to upgrade Environment Variables.
CZN Recommended Upgrades
Unlock the Center First
With Environment Variables, you can only upgrade nodes connected by lines. First, upgrade the Core Entity Access in the middle.
Enables Battle with Colossus in Chaos
Upgrading the Core Entity Access will allow you to fight Colossus in the Chaos Arena. It is a difficult fight, but defeating it rewards you with limited Mythic equipment.

Unlock the Top Right Environment Variable
The first upgrade you should aim for is Result Value Recalculation on the top right. This allows you to refresh refinement effects, and greatly impacts your Save Data and Chaos strategies.
Target Top Left Environment Variable Next
Preferences, on the far left, is a powerful upgrade that allows you to gain an Evade during battle by meeting its conditions. Although it's only once per battle, it can be used to avoid massive damage, making it another high-priority upgrade.
Leave the Fate-Related Upgrades for Last
Unlocking New Destiny and increasing the spawn rate of Season Destiny are also great effects, but they don't change the system as significantly as other upgrades. We recommend saving these upgrades and unlocks for later.

Like Upgrade, you can upgrade Environment Variables from the Zero System menu.
CZN How to Get Memory of Light
Obtainable in Chaos
Memory of Light is obtained by clearing Chaos. You can get it from both Seasonal Chaos and the Codex.
