Memory Fragments Guide - How to Get and Use

Memory Fragments guide for Chaos Zero Nightmare (CZN). See how to unlock Simulation: Memory Fragments, get upgrade set effects, crafting item materials, how to equip and dismantle.

What are Memory Fragments?

Grant Combatant Attribute Bonuses

Memory Fragments are fragments that contain condensed experiences from Chaos. Equipping them on a Combatant will upgrade their status, and wearing a set will activate additional effects.

Character Enhancement Guide

Stats increase with Upgrades

Memory Fragments are upgraded by consuming dedicated upgrade materials and Units. Each upgrade increases the main option's value and unlocks locked sub options.

Sub Options are Upgraded Randomly

The main option increases with every upgrade, but for sub options, a randomly selected stat is upgraded each time. You can easily check how many times an option has been upgraded by the + sign next to it.

• Dismantle Memory Fragments

Obtain Upgrade Materials by Dismantling

Dismantle any Memory Fragments you don't use. Dismantling will give you upgrade materials for Memory Fragments.

Bulk Dismantling is also possible

By selecting the Auto-Register button at the bottom, you can select unwanted fragments in bulk. In addition to rarity, you can also set a discard mark for each fragment to bulk discard them.

Memory Fragments Recommended Options

Prioritize Stats Referenced by Potential

CZN's characters reference certain stats for their Potential. Fulfilling the conditions grants additional bonuses, so you should first focus on increasing the stats required for their Potential.

For Attackers, Focus on Crit Chance and Crit Damage

Attackers can aim for high damage by landing Crits. When in doubt about sub options, prioritize Crit chance and Crit Damage.

Match the Main Option of the V slot with the Attribute

The V slot Memory Fragments come with an 'XX attribute damage increase' main option. By matching this with the character's attribute, you can efficiently increase their damage output.

Increase DEF For Tanks and Healers

Shield and Heal amounts scale with DEF. Equipping Tanks and Healers with Memory Fragments that boost defense stats will increase the squad's durability.

Seth's Scarab Set	[2-Set] Damage, Shield gain, and Heal amount of basic Cards increased by 20%
Executioner's Tool Set	[2-Set] Crit Damage+25%

Bullet of Order Set	[4-Set] When using an Attack Card, damage of Order Cards increases by 10% for 1 turn (max 2 stacks)
Offering of the Void Set	[4-Set] When a Card is Exhausted, damage of Void Cards increases by 20% for 1 turn
Instinctual Growth Set	[4-Set] If there are 3 or more Cards in your hand, damage of Instinct Cards increases by 20%
Spark of Passion Set	[4-Set] When using an Upgrade Card, damage of Passion Cards increases by 20% (max 1 stack)
Judgement's Flames Set	[4-Set] Damage of Instinct Cards used on targets in Ravage state +50%
Orb of Inhibition Set	[4-Set] Damage of Void Cards with a Hit Count of 2 or more +30%
Beast's Yearning Set	[4-Set] Damage of Justice, Order, and Exhaust Attack Cards increased by 30% (5 times per turn)
Glory's Reign Set	[4-Set] When an Exhaust Skill Card is created or used, damage of allies increases by 5% (max 15%)

How to Obtain Memory Fragments

Obtain from Simulation

Memory Fragments can be obtained by clearing Simulation: Memory Fragments. Higher difficulty stages drop higher Grade Memory Fragments.

Also Obtained from Chaos Exploration

When defeating a boss in Chaos or escaping from a waypoint, you can also obtain Memory Fragments by using a Loot Certification Card. With this method, you can see the type and part of the Memory F

Crafting is Also Possible

By consuming 100 "Traces of Memory", you can craft a Memory Fragment for a part of your choice. If you craft without selecting a part, one random part fragment will be created for 50 Traces of Memory.

Select the Main Option for Equipment

For the parts in Imagine, Desire, and Ideal, you can select the main option during crafting by consuming Multidimensional Alignment Material.

1. Select Combatant Memory Fragments

Select the Combatant you want to set up, and choose the Memory Fragments tab.

2. Select Memory Fragment Part

Once you have selected a Combatant, choose the part and Memory Fragment you wish to equip.
