Chaos Clearing Tips

Look at the Map First

Chaos is a roguelike content where the map changes with every run. When you start a challenge, first check the map and decide on a general route to take.

Prioritize Unidentified Areas

In Unidentified Areas, you might be able to get Credit or trigger an Epiphany without fighting. It's a safer way to explore than repeatedly engaging in combat.

Prioritize Dimensional Tunnel

You may find a Dimensional Tunnel in an Unidentified Area. Here, you can choose rewards that allow you to acquire a powerful Forbidden Card or significantly upgrade your combat strength.

Battle Elite Instead of Normal Combat

Chaos Elite iMAGE

By clearing Elite Combat areas, you can obtain equipment. If you can handle it, prioritize Elite Combat areas.

Note! In the later stages of Chaos, it can sometimes be easier and safer to clear Elite areas than Normal areas.

An Intrusion Can Also Occur

After defeating a monster, there's a low chance a powerful monster will appear in an intrusion. You can choose to escape, but if you successfully defeat it, you'll receive powerful equipment.

Use Safe Zone

In Safe Areas, marked by a bonfire icon, you can restore your party's HP and Stress. Use them actively when your HP is low or your Combatants' Stress levels are high.

You Can Only Rest or Train

You cannot choose both Rest and Train in a Safe Area. Only Train when you have sufficient HP and low Stress.

Dellang Shops Can Appear by Chance

You can tell if a Safe Area has an attached Dellang Shop by the shape of its icon on the map. If you have enough Credit, plan your route in advance to pass through areas with shops.

Using the Dellang Shop

In the Dellang Shop, you can use Credit acquired during exploration to buy Common Cards and equipment, or remove Cards. Unlike Rest and Train, there are no restrictions.

You Can Remove Unwanted Cards

At the Dellang Shop, you should prioritize removing basic Cards that don't fit a character's role. Removing an Attacker's basic defense cards or a Supporter's basic Attack Cards compresses your deck and improves the draw consistency of your key cards.

Acquiring Cards

Common Cards

Carefully select and acquire only useful Cards that fit your party composition. Adding too many will bloat your deck and lower the probability of drawing your main Skills, so skipping is an important option if a Card is not needed.

Monster Cards

These are extremely powerful, but be aware that their Save Data capacity (retention cost) is very high. Exceeding your capacity can lead to issues like other Cards being deleted, so it's safer to limit yourself to only the Cards you truly need.

Note! A Monster Card consumes 80pt of Save Data capacity, so acquiring two or more is not recommended.

Forbidden Card

Forbidden Cards

Forbidden Cards are Cards that can be obtained from the Dimensional Tunnel event. They come with a demerit until you defeat the boss, but are powerful enough to make up for it.

It's Better to Avoid Unnecessary Cards

Increasing the number of Cards in your deck lowers the probability of drawing the ones you need, so the golden rule is to skip acquiring a Card if you're unsure. Always be conscious of the probability of drawing strong Cards, for example by ensuring Attackers don't draw defense Cards.

Train Combatants and Partners

If you can't win in Chaos at all, it's possible that your characters are simply underleveled. Farm Simulations and raise your levels and Potential as much as you can.
