What is an Epiphany?
Combatant Cards are Upgraded during Battle
An Epiphany is an effect that occurs during combat in Chaos. There are two types: a Combatant Epiphany, where you obtain a Combatant-specific Card, and a Card Epiphany, where a Card that has an Epiphany is Upgraded.
Combatant Epiphany
When a Combatant Epiphany occurs, one random Combatant-specific Card is added to your hand. The added Card has a Cost of 0 for that turn only and will be added to your deck for all subsequent battles.
Obtain 1 Card when Entering Chaos
By upgrading Potential, you can obtain one Card via Epiphany upon entering Chaos. This effect triggers for each Combatant, allowing you to acquire a total of 3 Cards.
Card Epiphany
With a Card Epiphany, the Card you used is upgraded. You will be presented with three options out of five types of Upgrades, and you can choose one of them.
Divine Epiphany Occurs at an Extremely Low Rate
When a Card Epiphany occurs, there is an extremely low chance for a Divine Epiphany animation to play. This will present you with powerful Upgrade options, so be sure to prioritize selecting them.
How Epiphanies Occur
Occurs when Selecting Specific Cards in Chaos
Epiphanies occur during battles in Chaos. They are triggered by selecting a Card with a glowing top-left corner, so use them whenever you can.
You Can't tell which Epiphany will Occur
You cannot tell from the Card whether a Combatant Epiphany or a Card Epiphany will occur. By using a Card that triggers an Epiphany, one of the two will happen by chance.
Benefits of Epiphanies
Gain an Advantage in Subsequent Battles
Cards obtained or upgraded through Epiphanies are added to your deck for subsequent Chaos Challenges. As they are more powerful than Starting Cards, they will give you an advantage in battle.
Create Powerful Save Data
Save data created in Chaos can also be used in Combat Missions and Simulations. The more Epiphanies you have, the more powerful your save data becomes, giving you an advantage in battle.
