How to Progress in the Early Game

Progress Through the Story

When you start Chaos Zero, we recommend progressing through the story first. As you advance the story, various content will be unlocked.

Content Unlock Conditions

Progress Through Battle Missions and Take on Promotion Mission

To advance the story, you need to complete Promotion Mission. You can challenge Promotion Mission by progressing through Battle Missions, so if you get stuck in the story, try completing Battle Missions.

Minimum Requirement of Captain Level for Promotion Mission

You need to reach Captain Level 10 to unlock Promotion Mission. If a Promotion Mission is still locked, raise your Captain Level by using Simulation and the Growth Guide.

Follow the Growth Guide

From the Growth Guide in the upper left of the home screen, you can obtain rewards like training materials and Crystals. You can also get Captain Level EXP, so if you're stuck, try following the Growth Guide.

Utilize Ark City

In Ark City, you can treat Combatants suffering from Deep Trauma and provide temporary upgrades to Combatants through meals. Notably, Policy is content that increases over time, so be sure to use it regularly after unlocking Ark City.

Take on Chaos

Chaos Manifestation is an exploration-based content where you choose a route while going through battles and Events. Cards and equipment you acquire in Chaos Manifestation can be used in other content and game modes.

Equip a Partner

You can equip Partners to Chaos Zero's Combatants. You can increase their stats and gain additional passive skills, so be sure to check the Partners you own.

Complete Simulations

You can get training materials for Combatants and Partners in the Simulation. It's also a way to use Stamina, so challenge it repeatedly to collect materials.

Early Game Goals

Clear Chapter 1

When you start Chaos Zero, your first goal should be to complete Chapter 1. In the process of completing all of Chapter 1, Simulation and Activity will be unlocked.

Reach Captain Level 10

After completing Chapter 1, use the Simulation and Growth Guide to reach Captain Level 10. This will allow you to participate in Events, and you will also meet the prerequisites for Promotion Mission.

Challenge Promotion Mission

Once you reach Captain Level 10, challenge the Promotion Mission from the Battle Missions. Clearing it will unlock Chapter 2 of the story.

Unlock Ark City

Once Chapter 2 is unlocked, proceed to #01-2 [Ark City]. Once Ark City is unlocked, you will have access to all the basic content.
