Tips To Defeat Windblight Ganon

  • Cold Resistance is a must.
  • It is easier if you have many Stamina Wheels.
  • Prepare more arrows.
  • Bomb Arrows can beat him with 14 shots.
  • Make use of updrafts to shoot arrows.
  • Avoid enemy attacks by hiding behind obstacles.

Increase the number of Stamina Wheel

Increase the number of Stamina Wheel

In the battle against Windblight Ganon, you can efficiently deal damage by using the updrafts to hit with arrows. Shooting arrows while airborne consumes your Stamina Wheel, if you upgrade it in advance or prepare a recovery method, the battle would be easier.

Cooking Energizing or Endura Foods

Cooking materials named "Energizing" and "Endura" will restore the Stamina Wheel and temporarily increase the upper limit of the Stamina Wheel. Endura Food is to increase the upper limit, and Energizing Food is to restore the gauge, so use them to cook and store up Food and Elixirs.

Energizing Food

▲This is a food made using only Staminoka Bass, which are easy to find in the waters. The image above is for three bass, but even one bass can recover enough for one Stamina Wheel.

Bomb Arrows Are Very Effective

Bomb Arrows are very effective

Bomb Arrows can inflict heavy damage on bosses, actively use them if you have. If you do not have enough Bomb Arrows, including the treasure chest inside the Divine Beasts and those Teba gave you before entering the Divine Beast, you can buy them at Rito Village.

Ancient Arrows Are Even Faster

With the Ancient Arrow, you can beat Ganon faster and easier. But the Ancient Arrows are hard to get in the early stages and even near the end, they are valuable items with limited means of acquisition. Even if you lose to the boss, you can start over from the same place, so don't use too much here.

Use Terminals And Pillars As Obstacles

Use Terminals And Pillars As Obstacles

Windblight Ganon attacks from a long distance with beams and tornadoes. You can block the attacks by setting terminals or pillars as your shield, so always be aware of hiding behind obstacles when he attacks.

How To Defeat Windblight Ganon's First Phase

Shoot His Eyeball Before And After He Attacks

Shoot the eyeball before and after an enemy attacks

Hide Behind Obstacles And Wait The Attack To End

There is always a moment after his attack, so focus on attacking during that time. The beam attack from his arm has four shots in row, it is easy to dodge if you remember this.

The Best Time To Fire Arrows Airborne Is Before The Attack

If you are using an updraft to hit arrows in the air, you can cancel his attack by hitting a few shots to his eyeball before the attack comes. Since it requires high aiming skill, there is no need to try if you are not confident.

Defend Yourself When The Tornado Comes

Blight Ganon's tornado is able to track you from behind, and even when you are completely hidden by obstacles. When a tornado is about to hit you, you should not attack, but rather defend yourself until it disappears.

When Ganon Is Stunned, Attack With A Weapon Immediately

After Ganon gets hit by a certain number of arrows, he will fall to the ground and be stunned. Attack him with your weapon immediately. If you use Stasis +, you can even stop him for a while.

How To Defeat Windblight Ganon's Second Phase

Four Floating Objects Will Be In The Air

Four floating objects will be in the air

When his HP falls below 50%, he will summon four floating objects, and uses them to attack. They mainly reflect lasers from Blight Ganon and attack Link at unexpected angles.

Arrows Can Destroy Them

These floating objects can be destroyed by arrows. Because of their small size and agile movements, it'd be better to destroy them with arrows in the air with updrafts. Although they will revive after a period, once they are destroyed, you can keep attack Ganon in the same way as in the First Phase.

arrows can be used to destroy them

▲ It is recommended to destroy all four of them by a single shot with the Bomb Arrow!

It Is Better To Use Updrafts

From the Second Phase, the amount of beams and the movements becomes more that obstacles alone will never be enough to block. Therefore, when Windblight Ganon appears, you have to use updrafts to attack him or run to the safe place with Paraglider.

Be Careful Of The Guardian Beam From His Eye

Be careful of the Guardian beam from his eye

When his remaining HP is low, he will fire beams from his eye which are equivalent to the beams Guardians would fire. There is enough time before he fires, find an obstacle to hide. If you are confident in your skills, you can use Perfect Guard to bounce the beams back.
